For everyone in EU who is getting banned because of BGs, I see a trend going on.

I'm starting to notice a pattern here. It seems like everyone who is botting in BGs gets nearly instantly banned. If you look at multiple forum posts in the ban report section, there are many posts about botting in BGs and getting instantly banned. NOW CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG. I know that Blizz has a thing where if you accept their terms, they have the right to scan you RAM for any processes by 3rd party applications that run with the game. I know that in the US they are not allowed to do so (however I THINK that even in the US terms you agree to do so. PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG.) However in the EU, aren't they allowed to scan your ram? (Please again correct me if i'm wrong, I just want to make sure.) It seems like as soon as you enter a BG, warden or whatever will scan your ram and to see if you are botting, and it sees HB and the whole thing goes down with you getting banned and such.

Anyone else noticing what's going on here? PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG ON ANY TOPIC HERE.

Every answer you get will only be someone else's guess. No one knows what Blizzard does or does not do. My guess it's its probably all due to player reports. BG's are over run with bots.

correct me if i'm wrong

Yea, I do correct you! You are WRONG!

Blizzard are not allowed, were never allowed and would never be allowed to break your privacy and "scan your ram and see your are botting"!

Simply because such act is classified as serious crime in USA, European countries and in most other countries in the world!

And NO! There is no matter if you had accepted their Therms of Use, sign any random company's End User License Agreement or anything else!

Is this correction enough for you?

P.S.:
And regarding your concerns for the actual Warden scans, performed in the RAM - they are allowed to scan only within the "space", dedicated to the Wow client application, but it have no trace for Honorbuddy, so you could continue to bot calm and relaxed about it.

But since you are scared from the recent BG botting bans, remind yourself what safe botting is, and if you stick with it, you will be less likely to be banned at all! Good luck!

They dont scan your "ram" they scan the address space which is allocated to their game during runtime, which is where honorbuddy libs are injected, which is perfectly legal to do.

Yea, I meant the same with the P.S. above, but using the technical language I am afraid would not be clear and understandable enough for the regular user.

im in eu and im not banned for bg botting but i use a differend botbase from millz

I was botting now for 2 days with 2 Accounts.
1 Hunter + 1 Warriori.
... 12 hours per day. Only BG. No Ban but full Epic PVP ;)

THANK YOU FOR CORRECTING ME. I APPRECIATE IT. I knew they weren't allowed to scan in the US, but wasn't sure about EU, and seeing the many posts recently about BG botting and people getting banned instantly. I thought I saw a trend. Again, thank you for the correction! <3

Rekt why do you write in capitals or use a font for people with serious eye problems? It does not make your thread more serious and does not bring more attention to this kind of "we're all doomed, detected, banned kind of thread " :)

So is this little BAN wave just a thing of the moment or something more? Just wondering how I should approach the game after my 72h lock gets lifted (assuming it does).

same , i got one account perma banned 6 days ago on first night of bg botting , same day i got banned i started another one and leveled from 1-100 and finished 6 hours ago , 5 hours ago i put the new account to farm bgs and got banned 2 hours ago so i think bgs/dungeons are really bad atm

Are these bans only happening to people who afk BG farm yeah? I never afk i always control my characters but let the rotation do it's work. I'm currently coming back from a 2 month hiatus and I'm now concerned if i should do bg's at all anymore with honorbuddy. Suggestions?

It's important to note that keyword. May.

May.

It is legalise.

Before entering a BG, I always write in chat, "Using 3rd party programs prob. HonorBuddy in BG/PvP" so i can easily right click - report - ctrl-v, since on EU since 6.0 launch you often see 20 man BG's with around 16-18 bots, soo yea, it's getting way out of hand and ruining my game, resorting to semi afk in a corner and just spam report the bots.
So get perma banned pls..
bot pve content all you want (who cares bout pve anyway?) but stay out of pvp.. (ive never reported pve / farming bots, will report all I spot in pvp tho)

i dont care if you notice who bots i gues evrybotter knows who is botting i can see it from a mile away but i wont bother him i let him keep going on im doing the same i dont even care about the game i bot ingame while i play ps4. or hearthstone
