How can I turn on flying for my bot in HW zones? I want to use fatebuddy to fly to different fates, but it insists on legging it and I don't see an option, though I'm fairly certain rebornbuddy supports a flying command of some sort. How can I fix this up?
 
there is no flying for fate atm or AFAIK, the only flying support right now is a plugin from ExMatt and its only support gathering, questing, the plug in is not official from reborn dev and don't expect one anytime soon. If you want to gather unspoiled, favors, food profiles, emphemerals... (Entrax, Master9000, Mooncloud...) or leveling up stuffs like 50-60 mining, botanist, fishing (y2krazy), you can use that plugin https://github.com/MGramolini/ExBuddy/tree/master/ExBuddy download the Exbuddy folder and put it in your RB plugin folder and activate flying, skywatcher plugin in your RB plugin tab. Please do support profiles creators and ExMatt if you can so they can release new stuffs and better stuffs in the future. (don't hope for any official stuffs from RB because RB only have 1 dev and he's busy so you are going to see any official stuffs anytime soon) cheers

Sort of on top and I don't want to spam the forum with another thread, but what do people here usually do for leveling post 54 or so? N than is the go to, but after that it gets mighty slow. What do you suggest?

I would suggest Aleport or Camp Dragonhead. Slower than Heavensward zones and Northern Thanalan, but safer.
 
if you can go to churning mist or hinterlands to find fate party and do them manually or do run 3.0 dungeons when you have time online, then the rest just bot North Thal. Kinda risky and depends on your luck, personally i never got any problem running fate in N.T but hey who knows.
 
Just curious but why can't we incorporate EnableFlight stuff in the Fatebot? Seems like an entire collection of super useful stuff is ready for use.

If anyone tries the fatebot ~50+ and has a 60 (or even any hint of having flying) is an obvious botter. Kind of playing with fire eh?

I believe mastahg is still working on official flying support and once that has been fleshed out, it should work inherently with Fate Bot. Until then, I would suggest running Fate Bot in Camp Dragonhead from 50-60 if you're looking to run it somewhere if you can't wait for mastahg to finalize flying.

EnableFlight works with ExMatt's version of Fate Bot, but still needs additional testing, I believe.

Whoever gets there first, I'm sure either mastahg or ExMatt will post about it. Until then, bot smart!
 
I have botted 50-60 straight on my ninja and made great time 100% CWH. Only issues are a couple of fates where mobs spawn outside of the fate area and real players camp them. This is not an issue when you aren't level synced..but of course we have to. My fatebot currently comes with no support, but I will post how to use it anyway (subject to change at any time). It also is about 95% efficient in Dravanian Hinterlands. It does get stuck going between 2 fates in the South East of the map, but it does not crash RB as far as my testing has gone.

Sorry I am not going into any details about how to use git or SVN or zip downloads, but here is the info you will need.

Of course put the code in your BotBases folder.

The settings will use your regular fate bot settings.

This fatebot will allow you to use the EnableFlight plugin from ExBuddy. Happy CWH (and lightly supervised Drav Hinterlands) fates to all.


To answer any questions that might arise...

1. Yes I wanted to add more features and might at any time.
2. Yes, you can donate to me by clicking in my signature.
3. Yes, some features from the original FateBot are missing, but I found them not useful enough to implement (return to specific location or Aetheryte).
4. No it is not currently compatible with Destiny, but that might be an easy change to make and will look into it further upon request.


Edit: Do not use this Fatebot in any zone other than CWH or Dravanian Hinterlands without at least 80% supervision as the flight will eventually find a way to crash RB in other zones. Untested in Azys Lla.

Thanks ExMatt. I will consider myself a tester for the short term. I understand the support model and will supervise it. How would you prefer I report any misdoings by the bot?

For now just keep notes on it, I will probably make a thread to list issues although I am not guaranteeing any future work on this yet =).

I've tried this for about six hours today and is excellent in CHW. Thanks a lot for this great piece of work :D

Perhaps there is room for little more improvement if you can set a wait timer.

  • Add optional "wait timer" so that it remains in the same place after fate is completed, for a few seconds before trying to fly to the next fate.

    In the current version tries to fly away directly, even when fate is not completed or while waiting for mobs to spawn between mob waves. It can also miss the next serie of fate, that is based on the previous. A solution might be to add an option to wait "x amount of seconds" before scanning new fates and move on.

Anyone can feel free to fork the github project and make pull requests. I just don't have time to work on this project.
 
When I use this it keeps trying to summon my regular ground-only company mount. It works if I manually mount on a flying chocobo, anyone know how I can fix this?
 
edit your "Global Settings", tick on "Use Mount?", choose your Fallback mount, if you want to use your chocobo for flying and leveling don't check on the "Use this mount always" cause the drop down doesn't include chocobo

One more thing, how can you bot in Dravanian Hinterlands if there is no aetheryte crystal there? When you die, the closest you can spawn at is idyllshire.
