Flying REALLY high wheb gathering?

Ive noticed that when my char is using a flying mount, particular fishing, it will often fly straight up, almost as high as it can go, then back down.
Ive seen it a few times and thought it was down to the profile, but im now seeing it on more and more profiles.
Ive attached one in particular, check towards the end.

Any idea what causes this?

Yes, from what I can remember.
I cant recall seeing it questing or gathering.

Its doing it right now on AutoAngler.
