First suspension

I got suspended for the first time today. Probably my fault for botting too many hours straight. For anyone wondering the first offense is 72 hours. Does anyone know how long the second is for? Thanks

People are out for blood in Northern Thanalan, so even if it's the best exp/hr, I'd stay away from it if that's where you were.

There are 3 suspensions, 24 hour, 48 hour and 72 hour. Then there is Account Termination, but it all depends on your violations.

add: your next is most likely Termination.

Just bot safe. keep in mind most non botters think bots are the reason for high costs, not understanding a lot just under cut causing a ton of cheaper items. That they are costing them gil on items they get like bot or mining (true). With a large amount of ex HB botters coming here we will have to keep an eye out for the hunters. Cause I am sure that the Botters from HB that reported other botters are here, and there is a ton more bot users that are going stupid.

I don't believe the second punishment is an automatic ban. Think it's an automatic 3 day suspension regardless of the infraction (even if its something that would normally get a 24hr suspension like harassing someone in chat), and they'll evaluate your account for termination.

Honestly, I'm amazed that more people haven't been suspended given the hilarious bot trains running around. Do you happen to know if you were doing anything really obvious like getting stuck, running back and forth on DD, stutter stepping escort fates? Did people whisper you about botting?
I'd definitely send in a ticket once you can get back on, so you can find out a little more about the circumstances. I did that the time I got suspended, way back in the day. Obviously the GM isn't allowed to tell you straight up what they detected you with, but you can get some info if you play it like 'a friend was borrowing my account to try out the game and idk what he did that would break the rules'.

It may just be me, but i dont believe this is actually a thing. I have 2 accounts and Ive watched my bot on my second account and its just walking even though on my main monitor it looks like it was doing that stutter.

Yeah, they fixed the actual stutter step a while back. I'm just using the term to refer to 'following slowly behind at max fate distance', which is less clear but looks as obvious as DD shuttleruns when you're in a fatebot clump.
