Account Action: 72 Hour Suspension
Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Unauthorized ***** Programs ("Hacks")

This suspension happened because one or more characters on this account were identified using an unauthorized ***** program, also known as a "hack.". These programs provide character benefits normally not achievable in the World of Warcraft. Such benefits include, but are not limited to, increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. Use of these unauthorized programs harm the game environment because they offer an unfair advantage over other players and superscede the intended limits of the game.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Blizzard Support

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment: Blizzard Legal Documentation. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

If you believe your account was compromised, please submit an in-game petition or fill the contact email form at http://us.blizzard.com/support/webform.xml?locale=en_US. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your account due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here: https://us.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

For any disputes of this action or further information on Exploitive Activity, please visit the Exploitative Activity FAQ and contact page here: Blizzard Support

The suspension happened at a very strange time. I was on my main running arenas, logged off it to swap to an alt I was grind botting and was disconnected at the character screen. I get dced all the time when switching characters so I thought nothing of it. When logging back in it said my account was suspended. I checked my email and nothing was there. 3 hours later I come back from going out to dinner and I have mail. 72 hours for my first ever infraction. I just think it was very strange that the suspension did not come into effect until I had logged off my toon, which I had been on for a good 6 hours playing by hand.

Is this something worth fighting or do I just accept that I broke the rules and got caught? Even while botting today I was at my desk doing homework and babysitting it for 90% of the time and saw no other players.

You'll get 2 answers, some say fight it, others say let it go. I'm in the fight it crowd, as that what an actual honest player who was innocent would do...right? Research the forums a bit, there's tons of posts like yours, where they had decisions reversed. And a few who got it worse. Up to you in the end.

Im also a fight it campaigner...

Think about it a REAL PLAYER would appeal... As lets face it you have done nothing wrong... So why have they banned you?

if you were on 24 / 7, you're screwed

if you were on for a few hours a day and got banned, fight it

i appealed it, but with the american memorial day holiday i doubt i will hear anything before the suspension has run its course
