I have a few questions. \

When people get banned, do they just go spend 100$ and buy a fresh account and start all over?

I have a main account and a bot account. For example...

Account 1 : Bot Account : Bots 100,000 gold.
Account 2 : Main Account : Lists a briarthorn auction for 100,000 gold.
Accoutn 1 : Bot Account : Buys the acution.

I would do that to transfer gold. Or would that link the two accoutns together?

Should I list a fake name on my bot account if i get one? use a difference CC #? Should I use 2 different computers?

Thanks in advance!

Buying something for a hugely overpriced amount is about the same as handing face to face or sending COD via email for something small. From what I've ready, it's no safer and would probably get the 'seller' banned, so use a vanilla account and figure it's gone...

Cause yes, if your account gets banned, you have to buy a new one and start all over again... so try not to get your more valuable (cata) accounts banned when you sell. Sending that way to yourself is really a bad idea... the best way would be to have your main account own a guild, invite your bot account and deposit the gold... or better yet, have your farmer send the mats to a AH toon (which you delete and change once a month or so) on the same account... sell your stuff (or products if you use other professions) and then deposit the gold into the guild bank.

Make a guild bank and put ypour bots in that guild, make sure one of your main account toons is in the guild as well, preferably as the GM. Put gold and mats in the GB via your bots, take the gold and mats out of the guild bank on your main account toon when you want them or do the process in reverse if you are looking to move stuff to a bot account from a main. Try NOT to take out large amounts of gold on the same day it went in the GB as this can stand out. I have transfered millions in gold (over time in large chunks) in this manner and never had any type of an issue.

You can use the AH method to transfer gold between factions using the neutral AH if you wish. I do this off and on as needed and have not had a problem. It is not against the TOS and you do pay an AH cut. If you do it across factions then Blizz just thinks you are looking to move gold to one of your toons on another realm. Just try not to do too many things bot like for the next few days as you may be flagged for review by doing it. Blizz will pay more attention when you do it on the same faction AH as it looks like gold selling/buying. This is of course all IMO. :)

Thanks guys! one more thing though. Blizzard can distinguish where the botting is taken place.

If I am botting on one account but not botting on the other, but they are being played at the same house, can they ban both accounts?

From evidence posted by others it seems that it can occur but not always, there is no hard and fast rule regarding this. Although it does seem to happen more to US botters.
