Few questions before buying Honorbuddy

Hi all,

I was considering to buy Honorbuddy soon, but I had few questions first.

The first one is: If I buy a lifetime session, can I upgrade it anytime with the 3 sessions one if I need to? Does the upgrade cost the difference between the 3 sessions and the 1?

The second one is about Honorbuddy ingame: I wanted to farm some ores and herbs, while in group with an alt from my main acc in a low population server.
Let's say, for example, I have 3 bots running: If I have 3 bots and my alt in the same group, do you think Blizzard can see the group? So If they checked one account they could see I was in group with others and check them too? Also: Is it a bad idea to use more than 1-2 bots on the same server (the one I wanted connect to with cross-realm)?

Ps: that may be a stupid question but: do you think converting the group in a raid group, will be a bad idea (or good) or it doesn't change anything from a normal group?

Thanks all, I hope it's the right section, I'm new here :)

Hello Notorious and welcome to our community.

I am going to try and address your questions in the order to which you listed them (I'll be using bullet form).

  • If you have not already done so, please go to the Buddy Auth portal and create an account to view/manage your existing key(s).
  • To begin upgrading a HB key from 1 to 3, you'll wish to use the following link - Click Me
  • The cost is 35 (EURO) - 47.63 (USD), as seen within the previous link (one up)
  • Once purchased login to the Buddy Auth page (click here) and click 'Keys'; you will see that a key has been added with 3 allowed sessions.
  • If there are any hiccups in the process, all you need to do is contact Bossland GmbH Support dirrectly: [email protected]

  • I'll begin by mentioning a nice plugin called Prophet, made by Wigglez, found here. This plugin, once set up, will ensure that all of bots are always in the same group when online.
  • Can blizzard see what group you're in? Most likely.
  • Will this hurt you? Hypothetical. I, generally, want my farmers in a group with either an offline character or another farmer namely so players do not invite it.
  • There are several other plugins that help with more "logical" gathering concepts but we'll save that for another question.
  • Where there is risk botting there is always a chance for a ban, the # of bots doesn't increase this risk that dramatically - it always come back down to what you're doing. Bot smartly and you limit the risk of the hammer dropping.
do you think converting the group in a raid group, will be a bad idea (or good) or it doesn't change anything from a normal group?
  • I don't believe it will change anything ... except make it impossible to complete quests/dailies (you cannot do dailies, or quests, in a raid group - or at least weren't able to last I checked).

I hope that covers your questions; if I missed anything, give me a yell.

Thanks Mellome, that was very helpful! :) Last question for now: do you think there is any chance of my main account getting banned just for being in group (even offline) with a bot? Maybe i'm just paranoid..

The "rule of thumb" with botting is if you fear to be banned, do not bot.

There has been an on-going discussion about GM investigations and links between accounts.
I'll use some examples (both of these scenarios have happened to me) and you can draw your own conclusions as there is no real definite answer.

Example1:
  • Farmer1 is online, in a scenario grinding. Farmer2 deposits mats/gold into bank.
  • A gold request is made by a contact and delivered f2f by bank1.
  • A hour goes by, flag goes up, bank1 is online, farmer2 is online, farmer1 is offline.
  • Farmer2 & Bank1 are banned.
  • Farmer1 remains unbanned.
Example2:
  • Main account online
  • 2 farming accounts online
  • bank1 gets flagged and locked
  • nothing happens to other accounts

It really comes down to what you're doing, how risky it is, how many players are around you... and who you sell to.
Do I believe you'll have an issue with having main accounts and bots in the same group? No.

I recently started up on a new server and have been running 4 accounts + my, current, main in a mixture of RAF dungeons and individual (hunter/dk) questing.
Typically they're grouped with Prophet regardless of where I am, or what I'm doing. No issues yet and it has been about 2 and a half weeks.

Sorry for no definite answer ... there are too many factors that play into an outcome.
