Few questions about selling gold

Hey,

Before anyone tells me to google it; I already have. Turns up so much random unrelated stuff, and most of all so many people advertising their own sites.

So I was thinking of getting into selling gold. If you have time, I would be very happy if you could answer a few of these questions.

1. Where do you sell it? I've tried Offgamers as I got a history buying gamecards from them, but they dont stock up and I would have to be really lucky to be checking their site at the same time a customer is placing a order on my realm.
2. How do you sell it? Do you have a separate account with vanilla + tbc to only do the trading?
3. If nr2 is a yes, how do you limit the exposure of your real account? Do you have them in the same guild and trade via guildbank?
4. How many bots do u have up and running for this to be worthwhile? (Obviously depends on server prices etc, but as a general rule of thumb)
5. Whats a 'good' price pr gold? Is something like 0.00360$ pr gold to be expected? (Offgamers price atm)

Ill answer a few.

1. If u want to sell bulk, and cant be bothered shagging around trying to find private buyers sell to mmopawn. Otherwise privately. Atm, prices of gold on mmopawn and other companies are shit. So private buyers may b a better option.

2+3. Main account farms and mails to alt who is in a private guild. Alt collects mail sells items and deposits gold in gbank.
Vanilla toon (who was invited to guild by a different vanilla accnt to prevent tracing) withdraws and sells gold.

4.start off with one and sell gold to buy more keys. It really is up to u.

5. Price for gold is better measured /k. Selling to mmopawn or other companies ur doing really well to get 0.5/k
Selling privately ppl almost dont believe u if u sell for 1$/k so go for 1.2$/k and undercut companies. But selling privately there is generally much less demand.

On topic: .5$ pr k is not what I was hoping for, but thanks for clearing it up. Does the low prices have anything to do with Star wars? Less people playing wow= less demand = more supply = lower prices?

Naw, it's just there are SOO many gold farmers ATM. 0.5 is great wen u think about it.

You get 85k a day, that's 42$ a day, times 30.... Big money

Yea..I've been doing some of my own research and best /k I've been able to get is .2$ ;|
So if you farm 85k a day(which is quite a stretch imo) thats 17$. x 30 =510$ a month, exluding all the expenses :|

So if you're new to selling gold and dont have any deals set up or connections, you're shit outta luck right now :|

A personal opinion: don't worry about frantically botting to make money, that's what a job is for.

Bot to have fun, that way blizzard won't care to much about botters and it means you can have a lot more fun with HB!

I have personally gotten 0.65/k which is in my opinion a great price. As MadDog pointed out this isn't a job, if I sell gold it is to have some extra spending cash for personal use, but if at the end of the month I would rather use my gold to buy gear runs for my main, that's exactly what I will do.

Thank you MadDog for the pst helping the OP this helped me out and I appreciate when people like you help others out, even if I don't always mention it. That could be caused to reading posts on my phone or real quick before class etc.
