Faulty ram sticks

Hey guys, I bought some ram last week to upgrade and it finally arrived. But, it seems to be not working.

And I was wondering how big the chance would be that both ram sticks would be faulty? The new kit was the same kit as my old one. I wanted to upgrade to 32gb.

I tried, the old + new ram and I didn't make it past POST

I tried the old ram and I did make it past POST

I tried the new ram seperately from each other in every slot I have. So 4 slots * 2 ram sticks = 8 failed POST attempts

I put the new ram in my work computer and it failed at POST

I put the old ram in my work computer and passed POST

I put the ram from my work computer in my hobbycomputer and also made it past POST.

I also cleared my cmos and loaded defaults options in the bios on my hobbycomputer.

This pretty much elimates motherboard failure right and it seems to point towards two faulty sticks? Even if that is a rare occurrence?

Thanks for responding.

Did you buy the right RAM for your MB.

It is the same as my old one and my old one is working fine, so I guess it is  But I am not certain.

Its speed is 2133 and my MB supports up to 2800.

My MB shows error 51 which is supposed to mean error on memory initialization if that would mean anything.
