Community,

As many of us have had our accounts banned over the past few months; It might be helpful to post some tips on the best way to bot your way back up to a raiding ilvl.

Here's what I have so far. Please add your tips and successes.

Start:
Kick's Profiles will take you to ilvl 430.
Found here:http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/honorbuddy-profiles/131188-kicks-1-90-mega-profile-pack.html

Once you're 90:
Timeless Isle's BOA epics can help you gain some 496 epics, but chances are you won't have a full set. After farming for these, you will likely be at ilvl 460ish.
Found here: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/honorbuddy-profiles/97995-rep-ach-thebrodiemans-profile-compendium.html

  • As of 5.4.2 you can mail the non applicable BOA Epics from the Timeless Isles to you alts.

At this point you'll likely need a epic weapon, trinkets and neck.

Suggestions?
  • Reputations?
  • Farming?
  • Professions?
  • Scenarios?

What have you guys found successful?

Here's another great guide for gearing quickly.
FAQ: I'm a fresh 90, how do I gear up? PATCH 5.4 edition : wow

Additionally, if you're struggling with staying alive as a fresh 90 on the Timeless Isle try this:

FPSware's Lazyboxer
Found here: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/plugins/featured-botbases/124708-bot-fpswares-lazyboxer-raf-way-meant.html

Use the aforementioned TheBrodieMan's Timeless Isle's (NOT AFKable!) on one character.

On the second character set up the following:

  • Leader: Your other character
  • Distance 5-6
  • Maintain Leader: Always
  • Default settings for Targeting and Movement (make sure your CC has movement)

It's not perfect, but both characters (assuming you have at least 2 accounts) will follow the coordinates in TheBrodieMan's profile and locate the treasures that contain the BoA 496 gear while keeping each other alive.

i found something else that works besides having both toons running brodies.

first toon-run brodies with the leader plugin running
second toon running partybot with first toon as the leader.

this way your second toon isnt trying to follow the same coords but will 'assist' your leader and look a little more random

the only issue was the bridge, somehow brodies took me too close to Huolon and i got stuck going back and forth on the bridge while allys burned my toons repeatedly.

I've added the following profile as well.

It's a good alternative to TBM's Timeless Isle's Coin Farming if you're looking for something a little simpler. It will grind elites and repair. Credit goes to the original profile writer.

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions to getting trinkets or weapons?
  1. LFR?
  2. Reputations?
  3. Professions?

After using TBM's Epic Coin farm - which searches out all the one time use treasure chests, you will likely still need to grind for additional BoA epics to finish your set.

Trinkets:

After running through the Timeless Isles and obtaining your BoA set you will need 2 trinkets to increase your ilvl.

Options:

Shando-Pan - ilvl 489 epics
Wowhead's Guide to the Shado-Pan - Guides - Wowhead
You can purchase Trinkets at "Friendly" reputations at a 34% cost reduction as of patch 5.4.

Trinkets cost 1750 Justice Points.
Capes cost 1250 if you need one.

Klaxxi - ilvl 489 epics
Wowhead's Guide to the Klaxxi - Guides - Wowhead
You can purchase Neck Pieces at "Friendly" reputation with a 34% cost reduction as of patch 5.4

Amulets cost 1250 Justice Points

Heroic Scenario:
Completing your first Heroic Scenario will grant you a "Heroic Cache of Treasures" - containing one piece of class specific ilvl 516 gear.
Heroic Cache of Treasures - Item - World of Warcraft

Now... on to Weapons..

Weapon:

As soon as your ilvl is high enough, fire up dungeonbuddy and get into Arena of Annihilation scenario. Easiest way to get a quick weapons upgrade. And DB fricking OWNS AoA no matter what class you go in with.

Unless of course you get unlucky an end up with some dorkboy that doesnt know what they are doing... But to me it looks like most AoA entries are other botters farming easy justice points

Is that a heroic scenario?

My only problem with those are that it requires a group of 3 people. I have 2 accounts.

As for neck items, the rep group that came in with Thundering Isle (Shado Pan Assault?) sells neck slot items at ilvl 522 at neutral rep, don't forget that.

II just que with one toon, get my weapon and get out, unless i farm for jp's, then I have db queing until I cap out, logout that toon, enter the next, que till I cap out... rinse and repeat... As I said. most people running AoA are other botters farming easy jp's.

And I always keep tabs of my bots, either via teamwiever at work or by being near pc when I a mhome... I never bot unsupervised (sort of).

And the AoA script is great, so there is no risk whatsoever of getting stuck or anything...

The only time I had any trouble was when I was tanking with my blood DK and on of the other players (a bot most likely) got stuck between the questgiver and the gong somehow. So My toon didnt start the fight... He was "waiting for other players to come closer to the boss"...

But I just gave it a nudge and it started kicking ass again :)
