farming Pristine Hide?

I know Pristine Hide just like Artic Fur are very rare to find. I know i can buy them both in the AH house for lots of money or by the trainer for 10 heavy salvage leather (50 salvage leather, thats a lot). But there are some mobs that have low % of dropping it. Does anyone have a good profile around those mobs that can help me?

Yes i read some threats, but thought since many are a few months old, but now someone has some answer since this forum and community has grown so much, especially with profile developers getting better and better.

There really aren't any mobs that have a higher drop rate than others. I made a profile that farms dragons in Twilight Highlands (so I get scales and leather) and generally end up with between 1-3 pristine hides and about 100 heavy savage leathers per 8 hour farm session, which is plenty of hides if I want to turn them in.


I wish I knew how to make HB fly back to mail/repair/vendor though instead of walk/swim. lol

heck atleast you know how to make a profile. Im going to give myself time and learn the program so i can once make one too. Pristine hides, like other rare items, sell well, but also cost a lot. I will sacrifice botting time to get my hand in a few, plus i need them to make great gear for my hunter. So i know some mob drop it, with a percentage below 1% which sux but it stills there.

Well to be honest I'm not entirely sure what the real profile making process is, I just took one at random and deleted all the hotspot/vendor/mailbox information and added my own by hand copying over location readout from HB, then merged in a protected item list from some other random profile, and voila! Customized profile. I'm sure there's an easier way but that's how I manage.

I'm sure that any mob you can skin that's a Cata mob, you have a chance of a hide. There's a few leather farming profiles on the forums, hit them up.
