Based on feedback by the private beta testers I've decided to make a poll.

I know you guys haven't seen this in action and you've only seen the information I've shared, but given all the current information would you consider making a donation for Farmer Joe?

When you vote please also reply with your reasoning behind your answer.

Something to keep in mind before voting.
1. I am not paid by Honorbuddy for any of the work I do.
2. I develop this in my own free time, and to date I've spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours working on this.
3. Yes, I'm aware you have already paid for Honorbuddy. But why should you consider donating?
3.a You have paid for the botbase only and all that is distributed with it.
3.b This does not entitle you to everything that is developed by community members.
3.c (refer 2) I have spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours of my own time developing this.

EDIT: Ok guys I feel I need to clarify this. I am not asking FOR donations - but thank you very much for those who have done so - but I am merely trying to judge the number of people who think this project is worthy of receiving a donation.

I feel that your time is worth something, and my benefiting from your investment of time is worth something. An alternative to GB2 was desperately needed and you have taken on the challenge. I applaud that and think it is deserving of recognition beyond forum posts of thanks.

I'd imagine that if everyone that ends up using this BotBase were to donate even $1... your time would likely be compensated on the level of a developers salaried position. Here's to hoping others feel the same.

For those that haven't kept up with or don't want to dig thru the other thread, can you give highlights about what's different/better about FJ compared to GB?

I would donate!

Here is why:
  • Your work is always quality, some of the best 3rd party honorbuddy stuff around.
  • I would not work for free, ain't no body got time for that
  • Farmer joe is really quite amazing and is a really really good alternative to the honorbuddy bundle Gatherbuddy2
    • It's faster
    • No need for a profile, just pick your continent, and then the sub zones you would like to farm, and bang away she goes.
    • Nothing is left out, all the essential bells and whistles from GB2 are still present (node selection,mounts,mailing,guild bank and so on)
    • The settings to help keep you safe are endless. Paths are always completely random, and are altered based on node respawns. (less detection chance)
    • Automatic deletion of unwanted items from bag (user defined)
    • Mail items before logging out (when time limit reached, user defined)
    • AFK behaviour - makes you more human....so you are not farming constantly
    • Mixed mode bot support
    • Beautiful clean user friendly GUI
    • Humor...yes it conatins humor...
All in all from the testing i have done, it is a botbase that is well deserving of a donation
 
I'd be thrilled to BETA test. I own almost every premium CR on these forums so I know a bit about donating
 
No, not until using it and seeing how it works and how much different it works than current gb2. I am a fan of your work though and I am sure it will be awesome.
 
I can't vote on this until I see it in action, a video would be nice like someone mentioned!
 
I'd happily donate after seeing it in action, its features and its safety measures.
 
Coming from someone who has tested this over the past couple of months. I can honestly say you guys will be impressed. It works so sweet. Ive been using it on 3 accts for 12+ hours a day no problem. But that isnt even the best part. I wont ruin the 'reveal' but when you see it in action you will like it.

Regardless of the outcome, I suggest you guys show your support and make a donation. fpsware has made considerable amount of work (not just farmerjoe) for the good of community and what may only be $10 to you, can help him a lot. So show your appreciation.

Im looking forward to having a jam on the new build, but am afk for 6 weeks as of today heh. will get back into it when i get home.

Seriously, assuming its as good as it sounds, is supported and maintained and I make it part of my arsenal I would absolutely donate. I always try to show my appreciation for good work from which I benefit.

I have to agree with you, I would donate for access like I'm sure a lot of others would.

hmm, watching Projektt's stream, all I can see is GB2...No difference whatsoever. It looks like a bot farming.

So what makes this so special?
