Niantic, has found a way to almost instantly catch automated play (Bots). I received a ban on my main account today, after being fairly safe with my botting. No big deal I just made a new account, and after 30 minutes of botting my brand new account is banned. Obviously don't bot if you are scared of losing your account, but just a fair warning to everyone out there they are on to us in a major way. I'm also not sure if IP has anything to do with it, I'm not running a Proxy, or VPN. Best of luck to you all, and thank you Bossland for the hard working *****ing API's for years.



TLDR: Careful botting, good chance you will get banned. (I'm not complaining or crying just looking out for others )

Mate, that's been the entire discourse of the forum today! Lots of bans, we'll see how it plays out.

Until then, trust in Bossland, bot close to home GPS-wise, and play it as safe as you feel the need to. I know you know, but for others; botting always comes with potential consequences and we take that risk by choosing to bot

I understand it seems spamming, but alot of people are posting with no idea of what happened to their accounts. I'm informing people that is all. If you cannot connect to servers you are perma banned. Thanks for your input kind sir.

I've lost my account on Wendsday, make a new one on Friday, and it's lvl 24 (i'm doing some test to find what can be "quite safe" if you have time wrote your experience in this post.
Make a new account today for testing purpuose, i'm in the IT and i know how Niantic work, and i'm sure they are full of bug/hole/crap.
It's already lvl 13 (botting at max speed to see if something will popup).

And i'm sure that there are something that turn up a flag, maybe it is something connected to your IP, maybe something with speed or something you do.
