Faction ID problem

Hey people, in the midst of writing my 58-68 Profile and the Faction ID's are not working for some enemies. Im trying to enter the Faction id's for http://www.wowhead.com/npc=18117#comments. I have both the Wow head ID and the Humanoid ID and it will not pick them up in game. Any help is appreciated.

How are you finding the faction IDs? Honorbuddy ==> Target Info?

I am entering both the code from HB and the WOW head ID, By that i meant like if it is a beast i put in '1'

Ok, i just found the Faction ID of Ogres from a another profile, but why is it that it is different from the ID's given from Wowhead and HB?

Go out to that mob....have HB logged in(doesn't have to be running atm), target the mob, go to the tab in HB that says Profiles & Meshes and click the Target Info button, then look down at your log and the faction id will be written there

will look something like this in your log...

Faction = 21 [Undead, Scourge]

.....ofc it will be the number for the mob you have targeted...21 just happens to be what mine was targeting atm

Are you trying to set a particular mob...like for a quest? or just a grind area to kill the ogres?

for example if you were needing to kill x number of mobwhatever for a quest you would use the wowhead info and name like this...
<Mob Id="6516" Name="Un'Goro Thunderer" />

or

if you are just going to set a grind area you would use just the faction id like this...
<Factions>413 49 73 16 38 91</Factions>
...where all those numbers are the different factions you want to target while grinding that area

I think you might be putting the wrong ID number. The wowhead ID is different to the actual faction ID. As Breyna says, make sure you're choosing the "Faction ID" when you click the button in HB. It can be easily missed

The Wiki lists all the Faction IDs used by Honorbuddy to date. There is also a page that tells you how to locate a faction ID with certainty.

Hey guys, thanks for all of the replies, but still when using honorbuddy, i am using the Target Info button and i do get a Entry Number, but nothing like 'Faction ID = ----'.
I feel so stupid asking this question xD For the mean time ive just been using the Faction ID's i need from other profiles, hehe.

The information is there, you're just not seeing it. Its in the "Log" window at the bottom when you press the "Target Info" button. Target Info prints several lines of information.

Wowhead Id = 16879
Faction = 954 [Demon]
Location = <-452.0082, 2556.088, 54.48594>
<Vendor Name="Starving Helboar" Entry="16879" Type="Repair" X="-452.0082" Y="2556.088" Z="54.48594" />

I'd suggest you give it another go.

Ha, turns out im pretty stupid. Thanks very much mate, cant believe i never spotted that. I only ever noticed the Vendor Name string. Hehe, Very much appreciated!
