Exp from gathering?!

I just found out that you get exp from gathering skills, how much is this? and if i do 1-525 herb and skinning/mining from 80 on, and archeology to 525, what would my lvl be average?

I am pretty sure you will get to level 85, if you have enough rested exp.

The high end herbs/mines will give almost 12k exp when rested. I've leveled 2 toons from 70 to 85 by just gathering. So yeah. Experience all the way up to 85!

Now thats a useful anwer! Any suggestions on gathering bots? i really dont care what i get i just want the exp.

If you ever gets investigated by a GM and he ses that you leveled 60 - 85 by just gathering you would be banned like a hmm something.

Started gathering by hand. I had never botted until well into wrath. I noticed herbs/mines started giving exp. Gathered by hand then. Thank god for HB/GB!!! I would suggest starting gathering in Howling Fjord and then straight on to scholozar. You can start gathering there at about 73 up to 78. Then get some cata greens and start gathering in Hyjal and then to Uldum. Mind you, gatherleveling is a long way to 85!!
