One of the biggest, long running complaints about the forums has been the organization. Due to the rate of change Path of Exile undergoes, which in turn affects Exilebuddy, a lot of topics and threads become out of date pretty fast, and the forums have a lot of threads that contain old information.
The first phase of reorganization has been completed tonight.
The "Community Development Discussion" section now replaces the previous "Community Developer Forum". The new section is now for all non-release specific threads regarding community development. You can read more information about that section here.
The "Community Releases" section has been added for all community releases now. Before, there was a profiles section, a combat routines section, and we had tons of posts in the community discussion forums because plugins and other releases did not fit in either. All old/inactive threads have been moved to the Archives. Certain threads have been running since 2013, 2014, 2015, so users should create new threads for the old things that were lying around. The idea moving forward is, old content will be more regularly archived to help users avoid having a forum full of year old+ threads that are no longer relevant.
We hope these changes help simplify things, and provide a more user friendly experience when it comes to finding community content that is up to date and relevant to the current game version.
