Exilebuddy crashing

Hey,

installed exilebuddy and it crashes all the time on start up.

i got that problem in the current beta taken from http://www.thebuddyforum.com/exilebuddy-forum/135703-release-cycle-release-vs-beta.html
and the latest stable build taken from Buddy Updates

VS2012 and .NET 4 are installed, since i needed them for demonbuddy aswell.

a log, they look similar for beta and stable version, immediate crash right after bot start.

both are fresh installations, done 5 minutes prior to this post
 
Fully reinstalled .Net 4.0 and C++2012 redistributed, as followed

uninstalled all .net and c++ versions
.net 3.5 was installed automatically again after reboot
.net 4.0 and c++ were installed manually afterwards
updated with windows updater, reboot
reinstalled exilebuddy and exilebuddy beta

still the same crashes on both versions, same log as before as in the initial post, bot and log stopped before any information was given.

any help highly appreciated, at least a statement like "we are working on it", "technical error on your side", or even "refund your money and gtfo" would be nice...?!

otherwise next step would be to reinstall windows completly on my pc -.-

checked demonbuddy again after .net and c++ reinstallation, still working flawless with equal .net and c++ reqs, while exilebuddy keeps crashing on start up
 
so people who post logs and additional information, having a serious problem with the bot just get ignored, while you give standard phrases like "make sure you have the latest build" to people without logs and background information like you did just a moment ago here: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/exileb...7959-could-not-attach-path-exile-process.html

again i do not call for a prompt solution of my problem, but at least giving people with crashes - and there are more than just me, if i check the latest 5 support threads - some words on the problem of your point of view?!


further progress on my problem, i tested exilebuddy on my other PC aswell, same OS (Vista Ultimate 64bit) all required .net and c++ functions installed but completly different hardware, same problem - immediate crash on start up, after entering the exilebuddy key!

on the second tested PC i was and am able to run all other buddybots including DB like on the other one, but get the same disfunction with exilebuddy. Maybe it is a problem caused by vista (ultimate) 64bit.

TLDR:

- on 2 different PCs with the same OS but different hardware exilebuddy keeps crashing
- customer with 30 lifetime licenses of various buddybots, posting logs and additional background info, is looking forward to get ignored even further
 
Same problem here, and i just bought a 3 key code a couple days ago.

Starting to lose hope, considering i haven't been able to use it once, and any person with the same problem as me has gotten no reply.

Im wondering if its our operating system, because my friend that i gave 1 of the 3 keys to, works no problem and installed it the same time as me and runs windows 8, and im on vista.

Anyways, as the OP posted any feedback would be nice, other then please install new version.
I've done that about 4 times along with the other required programs, and my honorbuddy and demonbuddy seem to work just fine.

great dude, that makes me more confident, that it is OS related, and with the info, that they have the same problem on honorbuddy since a few days (but at least workin on it) - http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorb...functioning-windows-vista-10.html#post1315537 - underlines that theory....

so thanks devs for letting us sort out the cause of the problem ourselves, now at least fix it ;)

EDIT, but most important:

in the end i am not angry on the devs for having the problem, but i am totaly angry that i nearly reinstalled windows completly on my PC, causing me to sit infront of my PC for almost a day (backuping files, reinstalling windows and afterwads all programs and files) just because we did not get a single fckin response, while in the meanwhile they threw polemic phrases in support threads without background info. That is not what i would call "customer oriented service"

Hopefully they will send more staff to cover this section or something , to keep us happy ;P

I would still love to know when I can use this bot for the first time ;)

My bot always crashes when the map is loading.
It doesn't crash when the map loads fast enough
I think this has to do with my slow machine. The bot doesn't seem to wait long enough to let me load the map and crashes.

which version of vs2012 did u install? x86 or x64

if u install the one for x64 uninstall it and look for the x86 version

also insure the setup package says x86 in it
 
both versions were installed in the first place, before i reinstalled all .net and vs versions. i am 90% sure it is a problem with vista, as other vista users still have crashes and they have the same prob on honorbuddy.

i will anyway try to install de x64 version again later today, to check if it helps.

I've installed and uninstalled both the 64 and 86 2 times each, along with anything else (beta and current releases)

As sakusa said, as soon as you enter your key it crashes.
I have ran the bot without the game in the background and it still gives me an error saying the client isn't in the background yet, it only seems to crash when connecting to the client itself
 
Those of you on Vista; we're aware of the crash, and we're working to get it resolved.

Unfortunately, I don't have as much time as I'd like to constantly scour the support forums to answer questions, and solve problems. (That's why we have Tony!) We can't solve any problems without logs (which is why Tony tends to tell users to post a log, quite often). They provide us with a bunch of information we need (That users typically leave out of their posts).

That said, please don't post derogatory posts about our staff. If I see it again, I'll simply remove the posts. Keep things civil!

I'll bookmark this thread, and post updates as we resolve things.
 
finally, that is all i was looking for, for more than 4 days now.

now i can lay back and wait for an update, without struggeling around with my windows installation or plugins.

further, i was not derogatory about the staff, i just described how i (and other people with crashes) felt, giving out so much background information (logs, crash reports) but still beeing ignored for a couple of days, while in the meantime other people got support responses who just said "my bot crashes, help me now".

if that is derogatory from your point of view, i apologize somehow, but still can not understand why it was so hard to give us some words like "we are working on it" "we will take a look at it" "i?ll forward it to the tech stuff" or similar.

after all, thx for the headsup and confirming what we were guessing.
 
Was not trying to be, if it seemed like that. just frustration of waiting, considering i bought it and had no info that it wouldnt even work for us.
But now ill gladly wait till its fixed and see how it works out :)
 
Got same issue - fresh Windows7 64bit + net4.0 + vcredist. DemonBuddy works fine.
Will try install system + stuff again and tell what happens.
On my homepc ExileBuddy works so something is missing and we should figure what it is, because exception says "file not found".
