I used to bot back in vanilla and through BC. Back then I made profiles, custom classes and helped with auto vendor and repair features and my buddy worked on a mapping system instead of using waypoints. Then the program we had been using for so long became no more and since we were so familiar with it we just didn't try anything else. 100% legit from LK to Cata until the itch came back again.
A week ago I decided to start looking at the different bots and settled to try HB. I spent a lot of time browsing the forums prepared to install + all the plugins and profiles assuming I would have to fight to get it set up the way I like it. Anyway, compared to the old days this bot is like stepping into the future.
Hard time setting it up? No, I can't believe it was so simple.
Make my own profile? No, Kick's is incredible.
Make my own CC? The default works well enough.
Plugins? The community has really impressed me here.
Now my char is 90 and almost full honor pvp gear. Soon my 2nd char will be finished as well. I've never botted to farm gold, always honor points and levels but I think I'll have to give the gatherbuddy a try in the near future. Sadly I don't plan to try instancebuddy so I have no comments on it.
Anyway, anyone looking for a bot I would highly recommend HB. Just be aware, WoW hotfixes/patches you will have to wait for HB to update before it works but so far updates have very quick. Also, if you close HB and relog you need to end your session. These are not issues, it just saves anyone reading from posting or searching for a "fix" to something which is working properly.
