Evolving/Powering Up/CP Glitch?

Today I logged onto Pokemon GO on my phone totry to catch some Pidgeys to power up once the Thanksgiving event starts, and I noticed something very odd. Several of my Pokemon have much different CP values than what they should. Let me give some examples.

I have one Blastoise. Its CP was somewhere around 1300. Now it's around 900. I had a Magikarp with CP 191 and 2 or 3 with 183. Now they are 160 and below. The strange thing is, I nicknamed my highest CP Magikarp (191 CP), and now my highest CP Magikarp (160ish) has the same nickname. Similar issue with another Magikarp. I have several Pokemon with over 2000 CP (2 Gyrados and 1 Flareon) that were under 2000 before, and several others that seemed to have been power up from lower CP, and some that I know for a fact were over 1000 and are now below 1000. Despite what seems to be due to powering up, I am not missing any stardust, nor am I missing candies.

I have always had evolving turned off on PokerFarmer, and I was under the impression that it did not automatically power up Pokemon, as there is no option in the settings to turn this on or off.

Does anyone have any insight on what might have happened? I guess I'm not too upset about the Pokemon that now have over 2000 CP, but I am pretty pissed off about the ones that now have lower CP than they previously had.

Well that solves that issue. I don't know why Niantic would decide to do something like that with seemingly random decisions for which Pokemons' CPs to boost or decrease...
In any case, thanks for the reply! Glad to know it's not an issue with Pokefarmer.

Because they are trying to get people more involved in the game and getting them to fight gyms. Their changes are annoying, but they are definitely needed.
