EVERYTHING got banned here, even accounts that were not botting!!

I Got HORRIBLY owned, everything got banned, and when i say EVERYTHING i mean really EVERYTHING! Even accounts that weren't botting.

I was running 10 bots 24/7, 8 farmer and 2 workers. Even the toon i used to place auctions got banned, and i've NEVER botter on that toon!

It is by far the hardest hit i ever got from Blizzard :( I play on EU.

How did they do this??

There is the mail i got, it's the same for every account:

I belive this is one of those rare these days "manual" gm bans. Had this lately on US as well. They maually check for all links and just wipe everything related.
Bad news - i was never able to unban a single account for this kind of ban. Ban tetter is pretty unusual tho (lower letters in letter title) and looked like spam to me at first look lol. It wasnt however.

Typical reply is:
Thank you for your follow-up email regarding the account. This account was closed after a Blizzard Entertainment investigation produced evidence indicating the account was associated to multiple accounts that participated in exploitative activities. Upon further review, we have determined that our original findings were accurate and the action was in line with our current policies.

They punish exploitation severely. Are you sure you didn't do any of the stuff that can be found on Ownedcore? This doesn't seem like the typical botting/gold selling ban template. I got that template when I tried the herb dupe even when I didn't abuse it but whatever.

No, that account was sacred to me because i had several customers on it. I was running several istances of wow on the same computer...I am afraid they could have recorded some sort of "Hardware ID", so I don't know if it's safe to start botting again on this computer :(

A friend of mine lost 9 accounts about two hours ago also on EU using gatherbuddy.

What kind of accounts did you have? SoR or normal?

could you please ask him what kind of email he received, and if the account which he wasn't botting on were banned aswell?

the farmers were all SoRs, the two workers were not. The account which was never botting and got caught was not a SoR.

Man, i think you're right. I noticed that even an account i wasn't botting on for several weeks got pwned, it wasn't even active atm. The only thing that it had in common with the rest a similarity in the login username (i was calling all my accounts like "[email protected],[email protected],[email protected], etc..).
Two different accounts were logged on this very same computer about one week ago (one of them was even botting hard) are still fine.

If the account is linked to the botting accounts somehow (for example, everything you farm gets sent to a non-botting account for selling; or all the gold you earn gets sent to a non-botting account), then that's probably why they banned the non-botting accounts.
 
i've been running my business for 4+ years, i sell mostly to private buyers.

Whoever writes "you shouldn't bot 24/7 bla bla" has no idea about what he's talking about. Keep farming your 5k/day on the AH :)


My guilds were deleted aswell, this is 100% a human-issued ban.
 
I got a ban like this. They banned every account that ive used on my IP. Even accounts that I havent been on for months

besides just them banning everythign related, maybe they banned the one placing auctions because he just took stuff from a gb and processed/sold which would indeed be circumventing mechanics of the game as in farming herbs/ore/skins. so the ban kind of makes sense

I think they do it by checking your wow folders World of Warcraft > WTf > Account -- Every account you log in with from the same machine creates its own file there with the servers and characters each getting there own folder.
