EU bans

It seems that alot of the newer banns are only on the EU servers. Has any US server accounts been banned as of recent after the bann wave?

Please understand what your reading before posting.It might solve your accusations of being immature on "official forums" The statement clearly speaks of the amount of "newer bans" alot are from EU.Says nothing of the total amount of bans going on. If you have no comment towards the discussion please refrain from posting thanks!
 
Ok, Let me try this 1 more time! MAYBE JUST MAYBE you will understand. I NEVER said there are alot of bans. Do you understand that? I NEVER SAID THERE ARE ALOT OF BANS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said out of all the NEW... NEW!!!!! bans ALOT are EU servers. Hope you can comprehend that if not you dont deserve the ability to read. As i said before if you have nothing that answers the actual question of this thread please dont post anymore. I am just curious on if anyone on US servers have been banned after the ban wave.

Actually you did use the word "a lot" to describe the amount of bans you saw.

Which means, of the new bans, a majority of them are in the EU.

Your meaning of a lot: there are more people being banned than not. This directly conflicts with what the OP was asking.

He never claimed that.

Conclusion: You failed at reading, and instigated an argument by calling him immature. You were in the wrong.

Correct answer: Of the new ban reports, a majority of them are EU. You can check them all yourself and look for the US ones rather than asking someone else to check for you.
 
The number of bans is irrelevant. The assumption 20k are botting right now I'd love the source to however.

That being said - read the contrnt of some of the ban reports. I'm a fly by the seat of my pants type guy, chock full of chutzpah... However no way I'm touching this for a good long time. IF your not all but insta gibbed your being saved for later.

A guy just got pinched for using CR only. Another guy got pinched on a new pc with a new install etc. tell yourself whatever you need to in order to try and feel safe, but however blizzard found us out - it's still business as usual for them.

Id like to think bossland is working on a new x64 beast mode version with tons of security improvements but it's much more likely they're just gonna milk this for what it's worth on the backs of the sheep while we lose 50 bucks at a time.

Bitter pill to swallow I know. Just got 2 new accounts to hold me over till November and I can promise you this. If they get pinched I'm done with wow.

Use some common sense. Folks that have botted safely for 5-6-7+ years got banned due to detection. they buy new accounts and start again and are banned a second time within days at most? In some cases hours or less? Hmmmm...

Volume this time isn't nearly as important and in bosslands case all it should take is one to start makin moves.

Mine got banned after the recent banwave and I played on the US server. Two new accounts created after the banwave, only leveled to 15 when the accounts got closed. Maybe I was the unlucky one as almost all the recent ban reports are from the EU server.
 
Actually, I have been keeping an eye on the ban reports coming in myself (I believe a lot of people have). Out of those reports, we are seeing people who are new to the community, some are massive botters with numerous accounts, but all of them seem to be submitting those reports without the requested information. No offense, but I find you acting unnessicairy rude.

It is obvious that people are getting banned with more frequency after 13th of May. I mean how often did you see people who quested with Kick's and monitored 90%+ and got banned within 1-2 hours? How often did you see people who merely used a CR to DPS in raids getting banned? I dare to say, never (not talking about kickbots in arena). How often did you see people using Garrisonbuddy getting banned? Or fishing in their Garrison? Barely to never, right?

So yes, I do think that we can atleast say that there is more going on then "People have just been botting out of proportions" Cause that is simply not true. Honorbuddy is detected in a way, people who keep denying it are just to blind to see or don't wanna see it. Untill Bossland found out what caused the detection, more and more people will get banned with more frequency for using any type of Honorbuddy activity. Pretty clear to say now that CR are not even "safe" anymore. Again, stop sticking your heads in the sand. Better be aware of the danger you put your accounts to now days. It's not safe. Most of you will say botting has never been safe. But that's wrong. It was safe to a point if you used it wisely. But even using it wisely won't save us anymore. I'll give it time. I don't bot myself. I read the forums and see what happens.
 
I'm botting on US but only with CR's and no CTM. I have also noticed that most of the new bans are EU :)

Please don't bash Imtakingusrs, he's a nice guy and really helps others. He might have adopted the white Hb knight costume lately, but it is all in good spirits.

Even then, can you backup this statement with any source? of 10k-20k accounts botting right now? Not saying it is not true, I just find it pretty stupid.

Anyone with half of a brain and / or limited money would wait for a bit before jumping on Hb botting again.
While I certainly consider 20k of the Honorbuddy fanbase can be tagged as Half-Brained, I don't think there are 20k people here with lots of money to waste.

A honest approach to the actual ban situation is, while only a percentage of people is botting right now from the total amount of pre-ban botters, ban reports have kept steady.We lack more information to give an educated opinion, but it's not a good sign.

A single move from the devs (not talking about x64 as it seems to be too complex, but allowing renaming and hiding of the process doesn't sound that complicated to me) could be reassuring for the user base. Give us something to chew on, even if they really think it's worthless.Why they keep avoiding it , without further response or explanation than "you don't need it", is not helping this situation.

Now getting on the topic:

From the numbers of recent bans/suspensions, two most-likely scenarios can be made:

1. Certain GM(s) are manually messing with "flagged-for-botting" fresh accounts and throwing random suspensions/bans here and there. This explains the imbalance between EU/US.

2. Blizzard have (temporary) hardened their server-side algorithms toward faster auto-bans, deployed on fresh accounts, flagged for botting behaviors again.

The #2 seems less likely, due to the tons of players, creating fresh accounts and bot-leveling right now. Or due to the complexity of their possible "server-side algorithms", only small part of the levelers get flagged-enough for ban.
 
The amount of useless threads being posted is quite high since the banwave, mostly people claiming one thing or the other without any evidence or knowledge (such as that required to understand warden, reverse engineering) but I'd recommend for people to stop wasting their time creating threads as they usually end in 15 year olds insulting each other by page 3... In the end you have two choices, stay or leave (I anticipate someone making a post grasping at straws on this choice)
