"Error - Endscene hook failed" - what can i do about this?

Hi,

i am running HB on my desktop computer without any problems,

today i tried to setup it on my laptop, but i always get this error:

Logging in...

Error - Endscene hook failed: Could not successfully set up synchronization events.
Attached to WoW with ID 5508

additionally the HonorBuddy bug reporter opens:

Der Typeninitialisierer f?r "Styx.Helpers.CharacterSettings" hat eine Ausnahme verursacht

(Exception in "Styx.Helpers.CharacterSettings" init)

additionally windows closes the honorbuddy application



- Windows 7 Pro 32bit, all update and .NET Framework(s) installed
- WoW running out of his own folder (outside programs) without admin privileges
- all WoW addons disabled



can anyone help me what i need to do/fix to get it running or where to look?

- directx9 is selected

run wow and hb as admin

thanks, symptom solved

- HB was already running as admin
- running WoW as admin, too, solved the symptom

on my desktop i can run WoW without admin privileges and HB runs fine.

i general i don't like running programs as admin.

if i can help you in anyway to find out why WoW needs to be run as admin i would be glad to help.

(i am aware that HB needs to be run as admin, of course)

dunno, my win 7 x64 runs fine w/o admin

but you can just have wow and hb run as admin (perma) in the settings of the .exe
