elevation appears messed up

i am in a location around 230 meters above sea level. whenever i log out, i check the 'set coordinates.' the majority/all of the time, the elevation setting has drastically decreased, to include going up to a value of around -200+ meters. this huge negative value would appear to be very flaggable by big brother.

will get some hard data w/ (actual elevation and coords) and post back. but basically chattanooga tn (35.045719,-85.309629, elevation 230ish [meters]) is entered initially. noticed the huge drop yesterday in elevation while checking coords prior to logging back in.
