Hello.
I happened to notice something. While farming in the afternoon in TWHL, I can fill my bags pretty fast with @15-20 peeps in the area.
I woke up this morning at 9, went to TWHL, /who = 3 peeps in there, a lvl 84 with no mining, a lvl 85 with not enough mining and a lvl 85 with mining. So I'm thinking only 1 farmer. Alliance represents 0.00001% ( give or take some 0 ) on the server so they'd have 1 or 2 maximum. The bot's been running for 1,5 hours and got 12 stacks of Elementium Ore ( in the afternoon I'd get @20-25 stacks). It's not the bot's fault or the profile's, they both are awesome, but could it be that veins are more rare in the morning especially to limit the amount botters can gather?

PS: Even if it did happen like this so we can't farm more, this thread doesn't solve squat and will not influence in any way your farming, I just find it interesting to discover the mysteries of Blizzard. ( even if most of them are speculations )

Thanks for reading.

Happy farming.

I think the respawn may be similar to other mmos in that the rate is affected by the number of people in the zone at that time

I can't say I've ever noticed a difference in nodes between morning/afternoon/evening/night. Maybe it was just bad luck? Or, some sudden MASS migration to your server - alliance side?

twilight highlands, mining?

must be my profile, but i let the bot running all day, come back from work and 5 stacks.

Flew around clueless, but also, when i checked it, no nodes to see... anywhere.

and that was with 5-6 people in the area.

Ot, no theres no difference in re-spawn, all depends on the players farming it, and just

cause you see only 5, doesnt mean theres not 30 from other faction + you need some in the

area for a decent re-spawn rate aswell.

btw, if any has a good tw mining profile to use, plz pm the link.

I use woot's one.
I read a lot about it being very banable, but I have yet to encounter anyone on the path.
Well I thought about the opposite faction, but I told you, they are 8-10 times fewer than us. Still, that doesn't mean they have no players in TWHL.

Ow well.

i think it is simply the respawn rate.
sometimes i watch my bot farming and there are no loot messages in the chat window. don't know the time exactly when they fade out (interface standard if there are any options for that).
so the bot is flying around a while without farming anything.
if i take a look in the log file / debug window the times differ between 2 minutes up to 10 minutes without finding any node (no ninja avoidance and so on....)

it is just bad luck imho :)

From what I understand as gaming mechanics go is that the more Server Population (X) is equivalent to the number of players (Y), of both factions grinding/needing the item (Z)
So... Item Quantity = Number of people in zone + Server population of the time. ( Z = X+Y )
So according to my formula, the more people can be beneficial in some cases.
As a personal experience, I have notice more ore/herb and faster re spawns on higher population servers, this is my reasoning for my formula.
I'm a math junky :)
