IMO it seems like it would be quite easy for Blizzard to spot GatherBuddy (GB) users.
There is no way to randomize the Z coordinate in the profile. So when a GB botter gets reported by another player, Blizzard runs a simple script to find out how often that reported player returned to a certain height when farming ore or herbs. Unless the GB botter is frequently changing the Height Modifier under Bot Config, then they're going to be returning to the exact same height dozens of times per hour, hundreds of times per day, thousands of times per week, etc. So Blizzard may safely assume that 3rd party software was employed.
Solution: the Randomize Hotspots option should randomize the Z coordinate also. Currently, it does not. Hence, GB is extra dangerous to use.
