10Min queue for Dung, or Kicks? (Please advise)

QUESTION: Currently level 56....
is it faster to spam dungeons now as healer - (10 minute queue times on random dungeons)
(OR)
Use Kick's leveling profile? :/ *(Or Cava's, or something different)

Hey can someone help me setup Dungeonbuddy to work with my tank?

I have the setting to true for Tank in random groups, but it is very bad. It goes AFK (ALOT) and I watch EVERY SINGLE TIME the players in my group are freaking out and saying i'm afk.

Any help? :/

using Singular, or TuanHAMonk special edition, but do it~

It is not recommended that you tank in any random groups. Tanking in your own 5-man bot group works pretty well, but it is entirely too bottish to do it with real people around. My recommendation would be to off-spec as a healer and just change your loot priority to tanking gear. You can still gear your tank for your own playing without getting spotted.

Thanks.... I'm just trying to level up to 90 ASAP (Currently level 55) and i've been recommended to spam tanking random dungeons for best experience.....

wondering tho if its worth it more to just use kicks and level up? :/ (using Monk)

I have always had good luck with Kick's profiles but it can be slow. I would still probably heal my way through dungeons when I could though. Getting randoms to pop shouldn't be too bad as healer and Tuanha's Monk CC is amazing. I have one monk as a tank for my own 5-man RAF project at level 60 right now and if I am going to run with other people, I just shelf him. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I'm always afraid that I will get reported. Those dungeons at that level aren't difficult, but if your toon keeps stoping to load tiles or just freaking out because it isn't close enough to the healer, things get messy.

If you post a picture of your settings (with character name changed to protect the innocent of course) I'm sure someone, even I, can look and give you pointers. Dungeon buddy is definitely the fastest way I know of to level, so let's see if we can't help get you comfortable with the botbase, as well as getting set up for what you want to do.

Thanks for your feedback man :)

TuanHAs monk CR is pretty OP ~ I'm testing as healer right now (Queue time is roughly 10 minutes) ~ which is much longer than Tank queue times, but I'm going to watch it thoroughly before I ever let it go Afk. ~

If problems still arise, I'll send you a screenie of my settings in a Private Message, but otherwise thank you for the advice all around :)

First Dungeon as Healer Monk went 100% perfect. Stayed with tank, CR worked perfectly, was all good.

Only question is, is it faster to spam dungeons now as healer(10 minute queue times on random dungeons)

I'd say its quicker to quest as a tank than to spam dungeons ... imo.
Ultimately it depends on the class and the DPS of the dungeon.

Once you use Kick's profiles enough you get a good feel of the few places that it sticks.
You either monitor it around those times or you edit the script to cope with the hiccup (some of them can't be fixed save for manual intervention).

Questing all the way when alone (one bot).
You have to be really careful AFK botting dungeons in groups because the script will screw up periodically making your toon do some really retarded things.

Thanks for the feedback Mellome :) I wish dungeonbuddy had a total re-work done to it, it has so much potential... but i know the dev's here have other big priorities~ which is understandable.

thank u again :)

I would argue that with experience bonuses for randoms, as well as the safety of only being in dungeons or town definitely has an appeal. I know for certain that dungeons are faster solo at 60, but even for 56 it would have to be pretty close. Plus no stuck characters in dungeons.

Typically I queue for each instance once, to do the quests, and after which keep questing.
The experience bonuses are only worth it if the group is quick, as compared to questing. If you're a slow kill class, dungeon. If you're a quick kill class, or a tank, quest.

Dungeon groups leave you at the mercy of players ... if you're a bot, and you're afk, that is EXACTLY where you DON'T want to be (around players).

I'm running quite a few dungeons tho tonight, as healer monk, to test this exp/rate and to test the actual gameplay to see if there are sticks/afk situations etc, and so far(Only 3 dungeons done) I am pretty pleased with the results..... its just the 10min queue time for jumping into random dungeons that is the turnoff~

Ive actually talked in chat, asking if i was doing ok, and apoligizing for lag(Make-beleive-lag) and the groups have said i was doing great.

~ we'll see tho, going to thoroughly test it before I try to just go right back to Kick's ~

The only way I've ever gotten around the "stupid bot sticks" in a dungeon, on US Servers, was to play on a stereotype.
I had a healer/tank combo running dungeon buddy afk with the chat plugin that periodically makes them exchange a pre-set "conversation" with one another (a variation of ShutUp).

The conversation was in Portuguese and likewise the guild name was of the same language. Most players just assumed they were in their own little world and could not communicate, or understand what was going on. If they did silly things that was just them being them (there is a stereotype on that particular battle group that all PR players are ridiculous).

Other then that... I've never run AFK toons with players; It is setting yourself up to be banned and should be avoided.
The primary cause of bans, hypothetical of course, are player reports.

I think you hit it right on the head... We all have different preferences, and it really comes down to how you are playing, or "playing" as the case may be, and what you feel comfortable with. I always try to determine the likelihood of getting stuck somewhere again, like ashenvale, for several hours because I wasn't watching my bot.

Back to DanielMahan... Me and mellome both feel strongly about our preferred methods, and guess what... We are both right because it fits our style. The best advice any of us can give is to try out the ideas that appeal to you and decide what you like. There are tons of resources here to help you out, and this is a wonderful community that will embrace and support however you decide to play.

zcrucific said it best,
".this is a wonderful community that will embrace and support however you decide to play."

Very well said, both of you ~ Mellome very smart, and safe.

I always try to (shoot-for&support) having a strong friendly community in alot of other games i've played over my many many years of of all Genre's~ (Mainly Competitive).

check out my professions list in my sig, it's a list project I'm gathering for HB Professions for the community~

Key advice you've given, was to just be safe - have fun - and be comfortable with what I can do ~ the forums here are very thorough and helpful for those tools to do so ~ . (Master Searcher).
