I'm on a very low pop server where one night of botting takes at least 3 days to sell the items gained.

When I see 365 stacks of Whiptail on the AH for an EXTREMELY low price, I get annoyed.

The price of Volatile life was selling 4x as much as on any other server til this botter came on.

I feel like reporting them for being so dumb. What's your take on reporting fellow botters?

Dont do it.

If they keep it up long enough, and Blizzard gets wind of him, he'll get what's coming to him.

He's probably 12 and thinks hes found the way of getting rich on wowgold. Let him have his time and it'll come to him sooner or later.

it doesend matther what the botters does with his product he bought it to make gold

buy them up and convert them into cards

or

offer him a very low price and convert them into cards (bulk)

or

tell him to stop being a retard

Just farm & sell something else that he hasn't got covered.

And bear in mind Blizz may potentially check your account out too if you give them cause to (i.e. reporting another player).

Probably best to just laugh it off, as others have said, that botter sounds clueless and will no doubt get a report from some guy sooner or later.
But as a fellow bot, that guy shouldn't be you.

blizz won't ban you for reporting people or even look into it unless you report like 200 ppl a day

You may well be right Kick, but the point is, you don't know you're right.
Personally I just like to keep GM's the hell away from my account logs and my IP. I don't know if it matters or not, but I don't wanna find out the hard way :p

As much as I'd like to sometimes, It really isn't worth it XD

Whiptail has the highest chance to drop volatile life. Combine that with the fact that it's so easily farmable - and the AH on all servers are basically swimming in Whiptail tells me that the Whiptail is just a by-product of volatile life farming. The guy is just trying to get rid of it without having to delete it or vendor it. That's what I think is happening on my server anyway, because I'm experiencing the exact same scenario. Without giving out too much info, which server do you play on? Does it start with an A?

Volatile Life farming is the least smart thing I've ever seen.....
I farm Whiptail/Cinderbloom. After a week's run including selling everything I get I usually end up with all herbs sold within an hour of posting and about 15 stacks of Volatile Life that I can't sell for the life of me.

So no, I don't think it's that. I think it's just a stupid botter that doesn't know what he's doing and will be banned in about a week or so.

Selling by the stack is not the only thing you can do with Volatile Life. An alchemist can turn 15 volatile life (70g?) into 15 volatile air (450g?). Volatile Life farming can be very profitable.

Yeah, an Alchemist can do that.... Once per day! Seeing as you can easily farm 500 Volatile Life per day, the alchemist trick isn't going to change much.
