haha nice :) yeah, Dubba's Set just finished, Scoundrel is on now, Freakin good Dubstep ^_^ I'll check that out kickazz :D I was on a 500gig cap but now unlimited.. :D yay Australia finally did it LOL
 
Yeah I just don't really get why people like dubstep. To me it sounds like random crap that its just thrown together for no reason. There really isn't any coherent melody or harmony really. It's just a bunch of different electronic generated noise and fast drum beats that don't even necessarily go together.

Maybe I'm just missing the point. It's not even all electronic music like this, just dubstep really.

Yeah don't get me wrong. Not saying its bad, just don't understand what people like about it is all.
 
I just went to listen to all dubsteps stuff or at least a shitload of it and honestly I dont know what people see in this non-music. Im not trying to knock what other people are into just for shits, I really really really don't understand. Could a dubstep fan sorta tell us what exactly you like about it specifically? Techno and Electronica at least have a beat but this just a bunch of noises, there is no hook and no catch at all imo.

I can only assume that peeps get hooked on this music while on drugs and driving ina car at 3AM or at some kind euro rave or some such.

You can't describe it, but the bass lines and the bpm are just fucking insane. And if you can't hear the beat, there is something wrong with you lol.
 
It's...personal really. I like the dubstep with the bass that literally makes your bones shake but don't like the BPMs on most.
Slow, nasty, dirty BASS.
But see i also love music like The Doors, Prince, Velvet Undergound, Orb, Eminem, Led Zeppelin, The who, Godley and Cream, The Prodigy, Mozart, Johnny Cash, Linkin Park, too many to list.
The long point IS that if you listen to a certain type of music often enough you will find a tune that hits you and your like "Okay, i can dig some of this"
Of course if you have to listen to 100 hours of any type music to find 1 tune you like then it probably isn't for you ;)

Everyone knows and loves 'Auld Lang Syne' for instance right? But how many of those people actually like bagpipe music? Not a vast majority i would wager.

Subsonic Podcasts. Grab the first podcast and give it a go. If after the whole thing you don't like any of it then Dubstep is not for you :) It has a little bit of everything.
