Dual Screens or One GIANT TV

So Black Friday Is coming up soon and I want to hear everyones opinion On what kind of screens to get if any at all.

New computer on the way that can do dual screen config. Currently have a 19 inch lcd . Would like a bigger screen to watch tv on while i watch the bots . so Should I buy a 40 inch for 299 and keep my 19 inch or a 32 inch for 200 or 2 32 inch tv's? whats
 
Depends - tv will be pixolated unless your using HDMI (not all graphics cards/tvs can support that). If they can and the TV's resolution is high enough (for 300$ it probly wont be) then the TV is just a big monitor... I have 6 of them - I don't think I would want a montor bigger than 24 inches for anything other than games/tv (which I may end up doing)

Yes it will all be dhmi . im just torn on the subject and to be honest I want opinions to help decide >,< Should I ge dual screens or do u guys see no problem in having a 19 inch screen and a 32?
 
I don't really see a problem having a 32/40 and a 19 then again when it comes to stuff like that I'm not very picky at all. The question is would it bother you having that difference in screens? You could treat the 19 as a place to put stuff you don't need to see a lot - your bots/have music or something and the 32/40 as your main one.

All that really matters is will it bother you.

I'd just buy 6x40inch and call it a day :P
 
I have a 24" monitor and a 32" TV on my desk (mostly used as a 2nd monitor).. suits me great.. I want another 24" thou :D so I can have triple monitor, 2 for stuff and 32" for videos.

on another note.. i think anything bigger than 32" only running at 1080p wouldnt be too good if ya sitting pretty close
 
I have 2 24" screens and theyre amazing! But yes anything bigger than 28" i think is pushing it for a monitor, if your looking to watch movies and bots, then buy 2 screens, watch movie on one screen and bot on the other.
 
imho 2 monitors is multiple times more handy than one big.
Personally i like using such setup: M1 - "Windowed Fullscreen mode" Games, M2 - movies/messeger/browser/etc

First of all it is really hard to organize space which is not-far-from-a-square

Secondly if you wanted to view whatever are you doing and bots same time you would need to spend time for setting it up each time or even some software to resize windows to fit better. With 2 monitors you just maximize whatever you like on "half" of screen by default.

Another big advantage is that problem with "true" fullscreen software simply does not exist when you have 2 monitors, you can fullscreen on one and still see whatever you like to on second (messenger/software guide etc).

Maybe i would consider changing my dual screen into one giant, but only in case it had no less than triple times resolution of those 2 combined (like 3k :4k) what cannot happen yet.

Distance = Size

Example: I have dual 42 inch monitors(TV) and a podium in the center of the small room for keyboard and mouse. I sit a lazy boy about 4 feet away depending on what im doing. I can see things just as clear if not more than my dual 22" monitors on my productivity computer(porn). So, to me anyway it depends on the amount of space you have in the room and what you intend to do with your new computer.
 
To be honest I dont know what u mean by resolution :{ Like would my window only take up half the screen and the rest be black!?
 
I use a 32" LG TV and absolutely love it, i recommend the 32" like they said 40 just is too big for anything but a Living room TV.
 
My opinion is for a pc you dont want much bigger than a 24" remenber your up close most of the time and 24" is decent for movies. If you like your tv/movies i would go for a high quality 24" with decent contrast HD ect rather than a cheap big one or two cost effective monitors
 
how about u get another 19" screen and a big 40" tv wall mounted.

works wonders :D

makes programming, surfing, chatting.. like everything more fun..
 
fps, what stand do you use for the vertial monitor? I've been wanting a stand like that for a while

I've been wanting to get a 40-50" for TV and extra room above my current setup

its probably a factury standard stand that can change in height.

I don't recall where I bought the stand, its was online but I don't know the site. Its a fully rotating and tilting stand (every possible direction you could use) and will support up to a 32" screen :) The only thing I recall is the price, its was over $300.
