Druids comeback?

You still get interrupted while gathering if someone attacks you, as I understand it. Having said that, Travel Form only works 100% if not in combat and not in pvp combat (battleground)
Interrupt isn't a problem with herbalism enchant.
Not true, just checked on my druid, still get 100% speed in combat, pvp is irrelevant.

While I agree with you that PvP may be irrelevant for the sole purpose that any combat will slow you down, I wanted to make sure it was known, it will not work in BGs or Arenas.

Combine this with daze immunity from tank spec and passive healing from isferas gift and that makes druids the best gathering class currently. No need to buy sky golem, never dismount or get dazed, never fight any mobs! Shamans with their follower may be on par but I'm not sure if they get dazed or not plus idk much about shamans

I was regretting that i made i druid, but seems like it's not that bad
I will try it for sure.Looks like shamans get the same 200% speed buff as long as they don't reshift while in combat - same with druids, they also don't get dazed. Expect as a druid you have yserfas gift which is 3% hp every 5 sec. So while you're running past a pack of mobs and get damaged you'll be healing to full quite fast. Not sure if shamans have anything like that, if they don't, I proclaim guardian druids to be the best gathering class as of now!

Good news then. I just read the tooltip. I guess you can read the tooltip as "when used out of combat" so if you cast it ooc, you are good to go.

Which profile do you use for roses? Is it public or you've made a private one?
I only use my own profiles. The one time I ran a public suramar profile I got banned within 14 hours.
Add all mobs to avoid list, use questing profile that disables all combat when mounted and gathers or use the herbalism tweaks plugin. All of them should do the trick in a different way I guess.
Not running druids myself, but the next three I'll use druids with travel form. I wonder what I do with mining though, let them mine through the hits from the mobs and runaway in 40% travel form, completely ignore it or enable combat when they go out of travel form to mine. Druid kills mobs, mines and then goes back in travel form.
