Hello!
Im a lifetime user, and currently im trying to level my druid who is lvl 80.
Im using kicks quest profile in hyjal from 80-82.
Im having problems with mounting and flying. It will just use ground mount and sometimes it will use flying mount, but run instead of flying! I want it to use swift flight form, or a flying mount and fly instead of running on the ground.. it looks very bottish when someone see me with flying mount running on the ground..
I can fly normally when i dont bot, so i have the flying skill.
I have a new installation of Honorbuddy 2.0.0.4620 - Updated for Wow 4.1.0.14007, but it still wont fly. I have also tryed to install [Test] Honorbuddy 2.0.0.4910, but it does the same aswell...

I really hope u can help me

Hi, Bl4st, and thanks for the log!

You've got a couple of things going on here...

First...
Your Honorbuddy installation is very messed up. I know you're using a druid, but your FPSware Hunter and FPSware Death Knight CCs are throwing tons of errors they shouldn't be. Since your Druid CC is also FPSware Druid, they could be causing some unwanted interference. I'd try correcting the problem in this way...
  • Delete & reinstall the the FPSware Hunter, Death Knight, and Druid CCs. Be sure to install them from his Subversion feed, and NOT the ZIP files. If you need help getting started with Subversion, Jvidia has provided the Community with a very short and informative video tutorial.

  • If that doesn't clear up your CC problems, I'm going to ask that you delete and reinstall Honorbuddy without the FPSware CCs (i.e., just use the shipped ones). I love the FPSware CCs, but if you don't get them installed correctly, then they're not doing you any good whatsoever.

Second...
it sounds like there may be a misunderstanding between the 'flying' you expect from Honorbuddy, and reality. Honorbuddy does not fly natively--it only flies when and exactly where the profile writer tells it to. This is a failure of HBcore--not a failure of the profile.

So, if you are flying sometimes, then everything is working as expected. Your choices are either to
  • find a profile that instructs Honorbuddy to 'fly more', or
  • live with the problem
  • write a BugTracker reporting the problem to the HB development team, and asking for an 'enhancement request' that Honorbuddy fly natively.

cheers,

you have a very old profile, update it

as far as 'flying mount on ground' well... in my thread it clearly states:

'do not confuse flyto with flying navigation' which means that it will fly to and from quests / objectives - but it will not fly while doing objectives - please read the authors posts for the profile before using it

Thanks for the fast answers!

I have deleted all cc's and installed a new druid cc from fpsware(version 4 i think), and it runs fluently now!

Chinajade: Thanks a lot for the link. this is definently something i will install so i wont run into the same problems i just had :D, and thank you for clearing up a lot of questions in my head about the flying mount etc.

Kickazz006: I know ur probably very tired of the same stuff people ask/say, but i would like to apologise for that :(

Glad everything is now working for you. :)

oh its fpsware himself :D

Actually the only thing that i havent seen working is skull bash. Ive checked in the config it says "Allways" but i havent seen it use it yet.. Any idea why that accours?

Its a bug with HB. I've fixed it in the latest SVN release. I'm checking and casting using LUA as a work around.

I have just installed the program and put kickazz006's adress in the box, and as far as i can see, it updates all the stuff kickazz006 has made, so now im wondering: Does SVN update honorbuddy and other peoples Custom Classes? if yes, its perfect, but if its a no, then can i put multiple adresses in the box so it will update from multiple "databases" ?

You can update Custom Classes, and Profiles from authors that support Subversion. You cannot update the Honorbuddy core or Quest Behaviors this way.

To update multiple things at once, you control-click to select multiple Subversion'd directories. Once your control-click selections are made, you the right click on one of them and do a Subversion update. This will update each of the projects from their various repositories maintained by the various authors.

Its just me being stupid hehe. i understand now.. I just make multiple directories for each author :D.. So now its time to find authors for profiles, cc's etc :D.
Thanks once again for clearing up stuff for me and some fast answers!
