If it still doesn't work, make sure the file is not blocked in windows:
Check the "Logs" folder to see if there are any files created.

6. Sometimes, Windows blocks new files on your PC when you download them from the net. Right click on "HearthbuddyBETA.exe" and choose "Properties".
7. If the file is blocked, you will need to "Unblock" it by clicking on the "Unblock" button, followed by "Apply" and/or "OK". Not all users might see this, so this step is only necessary if you do.

I did what you suggested. After running buddywizard and seeing the message, I tried again, still nothing. No log folder. Only bots, plugins, routines folder.
