I spent this weekend having a closer look at this part of the bot and what I have learnt is its terrible. There are so many ways for other players to spot you are a bot.
1) The developers make it so when the bot walks, it jerks. Like it will run to a spot, pause, run to a spot, pause, run to a spot, pause (all in a short distance). It is incredibly easy to spot the bot with this behaviour.
2) Your bot is likely to be doing what all the other bots are doing. I watched my bot run to a spot, pause, run to a spot, pause run to a spot an pause with three other bots!
3) Yesterday I am playing Alterac Valley and we get to the first boss. I kid you not, around 10 bots just sat in the middle of the floor doing nothing. Again, super obvious botting.
I must have scared the bejeebers outta a lot of people this weekend when I whispered them telling them I know theyre running a bot. BG Buddy is just too badly done to run. You will get bust. I honestly could have reported a 100 players this weekend if I wanted to. If it was this easy for me, imagine how much easier it is for GM`s.
I really hope some serious development will happen on the BGBuddy side so we can use this feature of the bot again.
