Donation question

I am really upset that the CC I Love Animals is no longer supported due to the author's lack of ability in his personal life. I had *just* started using it when it stopped being supported so I didn't really get a chance to donate to his cause and I guess it's too late.

I am wondering if it is possible to donate an active account with lots of pre-paid (like 6 months I think) time to the Buddy Team or how I could give it to another dev to get a good feral CC going again before I Love Animals is totally obsolete. How would I go about doing such a thing? It kinda sucks to not have any good CCs for a class you like to play.

Is it possible to just donate it to the Buddy Team themselves and hope for better CC support?

thats now the way it works, we allow people, developers, to have a donation link on the thread or in their signatures, so if the community likes what they make, they can support their developer. as far as accounts go, if you want to donate an account for the development team (the buddy team, not community development) you can, but that wont guaranty that buddy team developers have time to work on something as complex as you want. a Custom-class is a a very complex and more importantly time consuming project, most of time time the core development team dost have time to do that kind of stuff.

Thanks CodenameG. I'll just donate to active devs I guess. Appreciate your fast response. How would I go about donating the account to the devs if I decide to (gotta think about it because I love the bot, but the CCs are where the awesomeness lies). Thanks again.

Personally, if I were you, I'd look through the other CCs and pick the developer that you like the most (from their existing CCs) and send them an offer via PM...the account, what's one it, how much time etc... and what you'd ask from them (the CC you'd want developed).

If they turn you down, then go to the 2nd person on your list... lol

I had thought about it, it's not a bad account, few 85s, etc, and I started it myself so it's totally mine...but I didn't know if it was within the rules to offer an account. I don't want to make the CC makers feel obligated to make me a CC because I gave them an account. I just want a really good working CC for the character I want to play most and I figure having a free account for a while as a sandbox to play with might be something that would help the CC people.

If it's not against the rules to just give an account as a form of 'thanks please keep this CC strong' then I might just do that.

Most CC developers have their own account/s so they probably just appreciate hard cash more (not all of them though as some do it for the love of the community).
