Talk to any professional botter, any scripter, coder, hacker, etc and they will all give very mixed opinions on what makes a bot for any video game detected.

Each bot company also has values to protect and will give very bias and different opinions among other botting companies and its own users. It really is all subjective.

Either way I wonder why not just give the option for 64 bit support?

I don't remember the last time I used a 32 bit computer, unless it was inside a VM/VPS.. (maybe the year was 2005? 10 years ago?)

So then comes the "no it would just be easier for them to.." and the "no it is more complicated than that.." and the "closed topic".

Regardless you cannot help but wonder how hard game makers are laughing right now with this fancy TOS..

Apparently, it would be hard for Bossland to maintain a 32 bit version, and a 64 bit one. They still want money for the product though... Funny :)

Rewrite the sloppy code, Bossland. So we can finally run it on 64 bit.

It's long been a very sensitive topic for HB staff; they're in a tough position in terms of money vs product support. I would say probs don't talk about it as it will just wind them up.

I used to run 32bit even before using HB so the whole 32 64 thing is a stupid topic to bring up.

I am not saying that Blizzard is targeting 32 bit users as bots but.......it does provide them a way to reduce the effort to do so. For instance, some other sites have alluded to code being added to specifically detect HB. Running that code on millions of users is a bit of a daunting task. My educated guess is that they only run such code on 32-bit clients.

Converting to 64 bit may reduce that risk. I would also like to see it run on 64 bit because 64 bit usually results in a substantial FPS gain. If I am AFK or near-AFK botting, it doesn't really matter. If i am playing by hand with combat bot, I would like the higher FPS. The fact Is, i can live without that performance gain.

The flip side to this is that the HB team has had a number of years developing testing and securing the bot. By changing the architecture, they risk losing that depth of knowledge and experience. Basically, they just added risk they may not be able to overcome.

To summarize, i don't see the benefits outweighing the risks. I am sure that is the same conclusion Bossland came to, albeit with different reasons I am sure.

Well if there's any truth to an article I read about a certain contracted employee of this bot giving up code then you may see a different HB popping up.

Time is better spent on fixing the current bugs in the bot.

I have botted on like 5 accs since early WOTLK and never ever had any problems. The bot in not detectable for shit. It all depends on what you do... If you are botting for like 15 hours a day, farming at the same place for days and stuff, you will be caught.

Yeah, that's exactly how it works...Devs just give us the option of 64-bit without having to do any additional coding...I just have to add 1 letter of code and magically everything is 64-bit compatible!!

As others have said, you should just stop thinking about this topic.

why do people with zero knowledge of the subject feel their opinion is so important it deserves a new thread? it is some weird kind of arrogance

your opinion is worthless. this thread is worthless. the 32 bit conspiracy has been debunked a hundred times

Wrong. It has not and never will be.

No one ever said that, Mr. Hardcore-Interpreted-Bytecode-Programmer, lol. Honorbuddy is a paid product, so you can't really use the "hehe is free so ur demands doesnt mean anything"-kind of stuff either.

It's not like it's impossible to offer support for both 32 bit and 64 bit.

I hope I don't strike a nerve by mentioning the words "laziness" and partial "greed".

Customers opinions are never worthless, Sheldon. Nice logic, businessmayn! :)

I quoted EXACTLY what they said. So tell me again I was wrong in my interpretation.

Just because you pay for a product, it doesn't mean you deserve the world...Remember that.

If you aren't happy with the product you received, ask for a refund or stop using the product.

Any way you look at it, HB is still head and shoulders above all other competition. Feel free to try some of the other bots and you'll see just how far behind they are.

He said "give the option". He didn't say that you'd just add #include "x64support.h" or something like that. Even though it takes more, I still think it would suit Bossland well to support 64 bit.

No, but when you pay for a product, it is fair to ask for reasonable improvements or additional features. I do indeed think it would be reasonable to ask for, due to the fact that almost every legit player is using the 64 bit client. This narrows it down quite a bit and makes it easier for Blizzard to pinpoint potential botters.

So, what you're essentially saying, is that every time you're not entirely happy with something, you just instantly ditch it? No? Figured :)

Nevertheless, I don't get why even care about this "feature request". Actually, the only one that does NOT care at all, is Bossland, and they should really be the only ones that care. Haha ;)

Imo, people just need to quit all that Bossland-buttkissing. I mean, I do think they're doing a good job with the bot and all, but people seem to think they are some sort of AI god or oracle. As soon as someone makes a topic that is just remotely hostile towards bossland, they always come crying "Bossland make good job, u shut up or leaf.. we loff bosslands, so if u not u fuk off scrob". Not to mention all the brown-nosing that happens on patch days, when people can't bot and they get all emotional and sensitive :D

Haven't tried any other bot than Honorbuddy and I'm not going to as it is now, but if there was a real alternative with, for instance, 64 bit support, I would probably have a look at it :-)

I never once said I ditch a product if I'm unhappy with it. Don't complain about other's interpretations of what is being said if you're going to do it, and do it terribly, yourself.

There's several other bots that support 64 bit. Go ahead and go have a look at them. You'll be back to HB anyways when you see how lacking they are in the features department.

It's surprising that this topic is even still open. The only other topics that get beat to death even worse are "how safe is the bot" and "how do I RAF bot successfully". I'm sure this thread will be closed soon anyways, and the devs will give their stock response.

- Allow me to quote you directly: "If you aren't happy with the product you received, ask for a refund or stop using the product.". That's correct, you didn't say you wouldn't use a product if you're unhappy with it, but you suggested me to do it and I assume you try to give the best advice you can possibly give. Since you advice me to stop using something I'm not entirely happy with, it can't be _that_ far from what you're doing yourself :-) Quit playing the "HAY I DIDNT SAY THAT!!11"-card, it doesn't really work for this situation.

- "Real alternative", remember? We're stuck with Honorbuddy, it seems.

- Unfortunately, yes. The horde of buttki.... Nah, never mind. It's nice they haven't come here trying to help "moderate" for once. They only have shit to say when they can tell people to read the rules, praise Bossland or say something along the lines of "wrong category".

As for the stock reply, yeah, everything falls on deaf ears :)

It actually works perfect for this situation...You accuse me of interpreting things the way I see is fit, and you turn right around and do the same thing. Go ahead and look through my post history, go ahead and find where I've ever asked for a refund for anything. I, unlike most of the children on these forums, understand the consequences of my actions. I've never done a chargeback on anything in my life, especially when I know that I was in violation of rules to begin with.

What exactly do you mean by a "real alternative"? If a bot works, it's a bot. It doesn't matter what features it has or doesn't have...If it automates functions that would otherwise require interaction, it's a bot. If you don't believe me, go look up the definition of a bot.

You're so edgy going against what others think. Keep telling yourself that you're a badass because of your thoughts. I can guarantee you that nothing you're saying is going on deaf ears. They hear everything you're saying, they simply don't care. Bossland will keep on selling keys and people will keep on botting all the same. You know why? Because it's still the best option for botting no matter if it's missing a feature as petty as 64 bit.

We're closing this thread.
We left it open as long as we could, but there are simply too many reports against it.
Please do NOT open another thread on this topic.
