Does this bot just get worse every day?

-Takes 10 tries to log in through failures, getting max sessions, kill session, eventually getting on
-Can't leave it on at work/over night because the auth servers restart randomly for no reason
-Nothing works properly in MoP areas except for custom profiles made by random people - zero credit to the HB devs
-Questing bot just says "no data for northrend" or anywhere except classic zones, which actually work about half the time
-BGbot just says 'tilemap is null!' until you restart it 10 times and it decides to work
-Even the forums are incredibly laggy and down often

I have done everything, including:
-uninstall HB
-uninstall .net framework
-install new 4.5 .net framework
-reinstall HB
-disable peerblock

So what part of this bot is supposed to actually be good?
 
Just had alot of problems since MOP is pretty new. You have to give it some patient. Honorbuddy wasnt that good when lk/cata was realeased, but it got freaking awesome.
 
I find it frustrating just as you, that this bot actually can't work without a person sitting helping it.. im in uldum at the moment and it can't do one quest without me helping it on the way. im beginning to think that i've payed 24? for a bot that can't be categorized as a bot.

Try using Arelog so you'll get relogged and such every time something happens.
I'm not having any issues for some reason... My bot char dinged 90 yesterday, and made me ~16k gold in pure mats during the night.
Not a single error or anything :/
 
You're right, the HB Staff is pulling stealth problems everyday into HB just to make you mad :)
They really have nothing else to do than make the bot worse and worse every fucking day.

For example: Apoc and Natfoth discussed yesterday how to fuck up HB's initialization. And guess what they come up with! It's brilliant :)
They depend on you. They just said: Let's give them the bot, people will make enough bugs just from top of their head. And fuck it...it works!

You are not supposed to bot while away from the keyboard, that is a surefire way to get banned. Be at keyboard to chat and reply to whispers, and avoid "botty" activities like running in circles. Don't turn your bot on and walk away, and don't bot for hours long like when at work.

The issue is since it's not a paid monthly service, they already have your money once you've bought it. I doubt they are getting many new purchases so they are probably just giving up, taking a little bit longer to fix things, make new things, as time goes on. It's a dying game that's been over-the-hill for quite a while and most anyone who's ever going to buy HB already has. It's a simple situation of effort:reward. I would pay $5-10 a month if it meant this bot was taken seriously again.

Anyway... OT : the devs are working hard im sure.

Take it as it is or dont bot... also people moaning, most of em, are here for less then a month.

you dont know shit about this bot, it was superb and it will be superb again, have some patience.
 
yep same problem 30 sec waiting for login and 10 try maybe ım login or not all days have another problem about that bot getting bored and tired ...

it will work like it has done for the past 4 years or whatever, give the devs time.

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I have been botting afk 24 hours a day for over 4 years now and have gotten a total of one account banned out of dozens and dozens.
 
I think the problem is likely that they keep trying to add more bots for more games leading to less development time on a specific bot when something like this happens. Either way, something isn't right.
 
Hate to agree with OP. This bot has gone down the shitter. Barely works to get me 250 honor before it crashes.
 
All the people here complaining mostly are 2012's and not anything against you guys... but you joined in on the bots peaking time of existence...

There was alot less before, and things did not work as well..

With that said how much they have included it is common for it to take longer to get things running to perfection, especially since they had a major overhaul of how the API works. They are working on multiple projects, and without charging a monthly fee it is completely acceptable to me that they dont have time to dedicate to make sure something is 110% ALL the time. They do a damn good job of staying on top of things. You have to remember this start out as a small company that was just honobuddy and gatherbuddy.

They have alot on their plate, the team is more than capable of getting it all done. But when it comes to programming their are always things you can not foresee happening. Along with there is logic to work out, that is not as simple as most wish it was, and understand that the stress it causes them as is... for your mere 50$ or w.e u payed... is alot, especially to see everyone QQing on the forums as if they do not already know of present issues...

Best life lesson, instead of smashing heads... working 2g towards a end result accomplishes alot more. your more than welcome to sit here and QQ and bitch, but they will eventually ignore you and write you off as another one of "those guys"

Posting logs and giving detailed information of bugs, so that they can look and actually attempt to determine a issue and a fix is probably going to do more than "Man these guys are going down hill shit gets worse and worse".

As someone mentioned, Arelog. I started using it and it made the botting process 500% better.

With that said, some quests need hand holding, the vast, VAST majority don't. I think I've helped the bot with 3 quests from 1-83, so far.
 
I'm sure the devs are working towards it but I must agree that the bot is not of the same quality as it has been a few years ago.
