Does HB mine?

Hey Guys,

Does HB mine if you click Harvest Minerals?
As I have it ticked, and its running right past mines.

Do I have to use a specific mining profile for it to work?

Make sure you have a mining pick in your backpack and you have mining trained.

For a while I couldn't figure out why my bot wasn't skinning, then I realized that I forgot to buy a skinning knife.

Also, it may help to increase the loot range to 90-100.

Altho I have a mining pick on me at all time...
But its not on my backpack its in one of my other bags, does that matter?

Ok put my pick in my proper backpack, and he ran within 5 yards of a vein that I can mine, but he just ran right past.
Mining is ticked.

That's odd, I know it works. Maybe try rebooting your PC?

Others may have some suggestions as well. Bump for more answers.

Ye its weird, its never worked for me...

But I only started HBing the other day and currently mining is like 220.
But I wanted it to grow while i leveled if i ran past mines...

It rarely actually works. They've supposedly fixed it in HB2, though.

Possible to run GB with HB? Would probably defeat the purpose though since you are running a profile for leveling.

I have been leveling mining and herbalism with hb this past week, worked great until the mid 200's skill level on both skills and then it just kinda stopped. Runs right past nodes.

For small thorium vein you need 245 min skill and for Rich thorium vein you need 275 min skill. Req by HB , not wow

btw : -> set loot radius to 80 and enable loot and harvest.

Yeh, make sure you've got looting on in addition to mining/herbing. Set a higher loot radius helps a bit too. Haven't had any problems on any of my toons.

theres a reason why it doesnt work great, you must spend $37 to buy GB like i did.

TY, I was in ungoro which is mostly small thorium, it was the 245 min skill getting me i think, i had my settings correct. I hand skilled it to 245 and all is good now.

there are a few good mining profiles if u look under special, but gb is the best bet even though it cost alot.
