Say I want to SoR one of my own accounts, and level it overnight, then transfer the character to another account in the morning and keep playing. Will blizzard's systems think I'm online the whole time, or will they see the account change and be 'tricked'?

Most likely any answer that you will get here will be conjecture my suggestion will be look through the banned section and form an opionion

I have been botting about 14-18 hours a day for about 4 months now, unless your account is flagged for something else and they look into it i personally don't think it has anything to do with getting caught. But that's my opinion and i am willing to lose that account if i'm wrong.

Generally they don't pay much attention to online times. I know a person who hangs online 24/7 and never ever got banned.

Blizzard don't really frown at botting, unless you do it very obviously and pull aggro from other players.

If they wanted to I assume they obviously have access to both. As the parental controls will send you a detailed play report for each of your wow accounts online login/log off times. So all of this information is logged,
but if they monitor it? I doubt it. There may be triggers that can go off, but very unlikely. Maybe 24/7-365 :P Id love to see that /played on a fresh 85. xD

I dont know where you're getting your info from but I can assure you with 100% certainty, Blizzard DOES FROWN at botting. If you bot for 24 seconds or 24 hours, if you get caught they will BAN YOU 100% guranteed!

No one really knows what blizzard looks for. I'm sure they monitor for easy stuff like grinding the same mobs for hour after hour and mining or herbing for hours. I've had one account banned when I first started botting (I go back later). When i first started botting I was gathering for 3-4 hours on one character per day and about 5 days into it I got banned.

I pretty much try to act like a normal player now. I bot on two accounts for 6-8 hours a day. I still gather for an hour or so here and there and break it up with daily quests, PVP, archeology and leveling new characters. I still end up with more mats than i have time to manage.
