Does Blizzard restore gold to hacked accounts?

Soo my account got hacked about 2 days after I started trying to sell it.. I thought my trade methods were untouchable, but somehow they were able to get my PW and get on long enough to steal 80K gold and delete all the gear off one of my characters.

I contacted the GM (yes ballsy), and 2 hours later I receive an Item Restoration e-mail listing all the items that were restored, but mentions nothing about the hacking or the gold that I lost.

Is the gold down the drain? It's not a big deal thanks to Honorbuddy, but its still quite a bit to lose T.T

Through my experience (a long time ago) they will restore all your lost items, but for as far as gold you get a set amount of 5k per character hacked.

Ive had my account comprimised due to stupid things i have done and i lost 70k gold on one char and they replaced it along with the gear.

yeah they will restore gold. they sent me all my gold back when i got hacked

There is a feture on Battle.net where you step by step can restore your account if you for any reason have been hacked

i took a break from wow last year and while i had the break i was hacked so when i came back i lost 213k gold i wrote a ticket and got as a reply i was more then 2 months ago and we dotn keep logs that long we are sorry to inform you we cant reimburse the gold
