Just wanna ask around: Do you use the upgrade to Legendarys with Kanais Cube? Whats your experience with it, is it useful or moreover useless?

The one time I used it... it worked very well. It left my stash real messy but other than that it was pretty efficient at using your mats and upgrading things it found.

I use it to get ancient weapons all the time.
4 day old sc account double Bul Kathos ancient weapons :O

If you're using it, how do you get the mats? One the one hand it seems to be effecient getting better items, on the other hand you are losing massive XP as you need to do bountys and lack of grifts in the meantime.

Why do you need to do bounties? The legendary upgrade function only uses "normal" mats gathered from yellow/blue/grey items and death breaths.
I do speedfarm builds for normal rifts. In the beginning when I dont have many mats I pick up everything, at the end I am only missing death breaths so I only pickup crafting materials, no yellow/blue/grey items anymore.

Oh lord, I didnt realize it only uses normal mats. I thought every crafting uses the act specific mats. So - to fully understand - you pickup everything or do you use itemlist? Or do you disable the Kanais Cube when you got decent gear?

I run nephalem rifts and enable pickup of blue yellow and grey items if I have below 5000 mats of each. If I have above 5000 mats I disable looting for yellow/blue/grey items and only set "crafting mats min quality" to common. I run itemlist but itemlist only affects legendarys, so it doesnt matter if you use trinity scoring or item list, you just need to enable looting for yellow/blue/grey items.
I do not enable the cube function until I have at least 1000 death breath. Then I just go and craft 25 mighty weapons for example. Then you enable the cube function with mighty weapons and hit start. Then he recognizes that your inventory is full (hence 25 crafts) and will start to reroll the mighty weapons one by one. Rinse and repeat until you run out of death breaths or you have the weapon you want. If you want to reroll less than 25 items there is also a "force townrun" button in the main page of DB.

Damn, what a great function. I didnt realize. I got 23k Death Breath , over 5k Forgotten Soul, etc. I will try that out, thanks bro! <3

i just use them for weapons (since you can´t roll a specific type (i.e. 2h mace) on bloodhsards and rings / amu´s.
since iam low on mats ^^ you don´t need forgotten souls btw ;)

It only works when you have enough mats.

Basically it saves you some mats by upgrading from dropped rare items instead of crafting them.

To improve stashing protocols, refer to this link:
https://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonbuddy-forum/plugins/trinity/212365-item-list-stashing-system.html
Read through it and set it correctly would save you tons of time.

I am currently using my own rules edited bit by bit every time I check my stash. I replace gears with better ones if there is any during stash checking, afterwards I increase the requirement for that specific gear on itemlist so any potention upgrade would be kept while others would be disenchanted.

Also each time I check it, I look for any missing settings for gears that are not for my current class/build.
Those include:
1. if you are running non-seasonal characters and would like to collect the best one of each legendary with a special effect, set a new standard after each time an upgrade is found
2. things that may be useful for other classes/builds => set a standard so that only the best of each item is kept.
Ex. for Sunwukong build or healing monk build obtained on U6 build character(most likely the only option when botting monk), only keep the best one on each required wearing slot and then set the rules for it so only potential upgrade will be stashed.
For seasonal players:
3. things that have been extracted and will never be useful this patch => unchecked(all disenchanted)
4. things that are not useful at all for current patch unless you are collecting kanai powers and it is not extracted yet.

This may seem very troubling, but it will keep reducing the time it takes to fill your stash as you keep improving your gears thus setting higher stashing standards.
It would probably take more than a week to fill my stash at the moment.(maybe even more than that..) It is not even keeping most ancients, but only ancients with useful stats that is an upgrade for me.

Below is my rule, use with discretion as it will throw away lots of ancients for monks.
