Ever since I started using bots, I've been able to tell right away who is botting and who is not. Almost every low level I see this days is botting, and they're blatantly obvious about it. I was just wondering, do you guys report other people you see botting, just because they're obvious about it?

Personally, I don't. But, if they're of the opposite faction, I gank them at least 5 times before I let them continue on.

Um, I can't tell the difference between a botter and a poor player. Or a good player. But if they're just standing there, I can't tell the difference between a botter and someone who's AFK. So no, I never report them.
 
report other botters would be a betrayal!
and i dont want to be reported, too. so why should i report others?
 
How can anyone be SURE that its a bot? What are you seeing that tells you absolutely for sure that it is a bot?
So no way....even if I knew for sure, I still wouldn't report them.
 
The more people who are botting the more normal the movement/actions seem to other players who don't bot, therefore if I bot I don't stand out, the more bots the better. :)
 
I swear there was an exactly the same post as this. I personally do not report botters for various reasons, its also worth noting that anyone who does maybe putting themselves in firing line if its a location that you regularly bot in GMs may begin to monitor said location - generally stupid.

Nope, because I'm actually to lazy to open a ticket. Just joking but seriously,
sometimes I kill other bots or bug them until they stop if they grind my area.
Also I'm always a little leery of other botters since there isn't something
existing like a botter-codex.
 
I don't. I live my life let them live theirs. If they get caught some day it won't be by my doing.
 
normally no, i dont report other bots. however last weekend i did report one. he wasnt using gatherbuddy because the movements were different but he was still very obvious, after watching him for a few nodes. at first i didnt even pay attention, just whispered him about his funny guild name, but he didnt answer and then tried to ninja an herb i was already herbing (not botting at the time). i thought hey that was weird, so i followed him around, swooped a dozen herbs right under him, he even started herbing when it was way too late, then just flew onwards, again and again. no angry tells, no reaction at all.

if you are going to be a terrible botter like that, i would rather stab you in the back than have you draw unwanted attention. take the fall, learn from it, do better next time.

Yea if we take it to extremes such as farming your area (eye for an eye) or doing something that's just annoying. (i've seen botters out there that don't loot corpses so I can't skin the corpses to boot...bleh.) I dont mind to share my area w/ a person if they at least let me skin their corpses. if not, then ... if i'm having a bad day a ticket goes in. on my server, blackwing lair, there are spots with botters then spots w/ none. You'll find 10 botters in one spot and 0 in another.

Seriously, I do if they are blatant about it. I just am thinking about the long term for botting, and I don't want some shithead who can't bot to save his life, ruining it for the rest of us who do take a modicum of care.
