Do you report other botters - When your botting yourself?

Just a simple question

Yes or No?

Please elaborate why, if your answer is yes.

I find it very interesting that we actually might report each other, but why are we doing so? Shouldn't we be some sort of "friends" when we're doing the same thing?

Imagine if we could have this "none reporting thing" together, i mean. I've reported botters, and the reason i did that, was because my own account got banned days before, and i wantet some sort of revenge (weird).

But i'm still wondering if you guys are doing the same, and in that case, why?

No, because you wouldnt want someone reporting you for the same thing that you will more than likely do a couple of hours later.

Next time I suggest reading the forum rules.
Admitting to, or very strong evidence that you are reporting other botters.
Some report other botters when the their bot is misbehaving, feeling an AFK botter "makes botters look bad". Many report other botters because they consider the harvesting node as 'theirs', and report the other bot to eliminate competition.

Beyond the blatant hypocrisy, botters reporting other botters is not only bad for business, its bad for the Community and the reporter.

Evidence strongly suggests that Bliz investigates both parties (reportee and reporter) when a player reports another player, If true, reporting others players for botting is effectively reporting yourself, also.

No put I'll kick them from my dungeon group when people insist on going afk when they should know that the bot isn't really that stable right now.

I kicked 5 people in the same vortex pinnacle from what looks like an inability to interact with the tornados to jump platforms.

edit: it looks really bad when they keep doing an animation that looks like interact but they just sit there.

no, if i see a nother botter ill follow them around a little, /poke or whisper them hello and weird coded text so when they get back they freak out but i would never report a botter.... if you are a botter and report one of your own then you really are a special kind of dumb. if your doing it for "revenge" because your account got caught your a selfish dick weed, just because your dumb and made it obvious to non botters what your doing doesnt mean you should just go report botters because they are not as dumb as you, your the one that knows what botters would look like so its easy to see other botters. and before it starts ill stop it, when i whisper people i say nothing about botting, its more like "got to get those shards some how am i right?" if they are on a shard profile, or my favorite is "i bet you wont whisper me back...." just because i am super aware when im botting because the quickest way to get caught is not doing human stuff durring botting sessions and if your afk you cant do that stuff. happy botting everyone!
 
Botters who report other botters are hypocrites scum , even lower than scum .

It's not "weird," you're a piece of shit. Never report another botter.
 
Should pull the keys from people when they ban them for reporting other botters
 
LOL why would you report another botter? were you dropped a bunch as a child? this is like botting 101 DO NOT REPORT FELLOW BOTTERS

unwritten rules usually state that you don't, but some people do... and then those people can also get banned because this is what happens;

PlayerA reports PlayerB for botting
PlayerB gets banned
PlayerB reports PlayerA for harassment either before or after a ban (usually before because they got told by PlayerA to move out of the area or get a report I assume)
PlayerA also gets investigated
PlayerA gets banned for botting even though it was a harassment investigation (I'm assuming they've seen enough of these squabbles to know that sometimes the reporter is also a bot)

tl;dr eventually the person reporting the bots also gets investigate if someone reports them back.

This. Also, they're probably kids, or very premature, unsettled people. Or people who have a poor live, finding joy in something retarded like that. Just as every other lowbrain-action.

(The dude who said he does this because he got banned himself, and wanted some sort of "revenge" perfectly approves of all the above mentioned.)
 
Many times when one account reports the other in question. blizzard will investigate both sides of the report IE both accounts will be briefly looked at but mainly the one in question. This is what was told to me via a phone conversation with a blizzard employee about a year ago. not sure how true it is but because of this i dont report anyone anymore :) better to be safe than sorry.

Is there honor among thieves? LOL I dont report other botters and I dont look for them. However some bots are very obvious.
