Do you let your friends know you bot?

A few of my guildies have come to know that I bot having seen me level alts and grind battlegrounds overnight. I like to joke that "my sister is playing my character, and she really likes Alterac Valley".

However, a friend of mine that I haven't talked to in a long time happened to log on today and whispered me while I was AFK grinding, and asked "How come you're not responding? Are you botting?"

When I returned to my PC, I replied, "Botting is against the TOS." I think he understood.

How do you deal with friends and guildies seeing you bot? Or do you only bot with HB on characters that aren't in your main's guild?

All my friends know and since were in a guild with other people they cover for me but since I started with glider the people around me know....just choose wisely who you tell dont tell the hardcore players with 6 hand lvl'd 80's they take that shit to heart.

Me and my mate use hb together couple of people know we bot but usually have alts not in main guild when grinding levels.

i prefer to stay incognito with my alts until theyre lvl 80 ... just create a guild, bot away and when you hit 80, join your friends guild... but all of my RL friends that play wow know that i bot to the fullest... ingame friends dont... youll never know how serious they take that kinda stuff... they could be laughing with you, wishing you all the best with your heaps of gold, and turn around report you because theyre jealous...

I Use my main in the guild the have 2 80's farming stuff for me on my own guild. I only told my one friend but I don't even suggest that now cause they ALWAYS want you to bot there character. If you are worried create and bot a new 80 for you only on another account that can do the farming for you. The just say you stopped botting and they will leave you alone.

My RL friends know I'm botting, but they know that I'm not doing it on my main account (it hasn't any timeplay now indeed) and they don't know any of my botting accounts. The only character I bot-leveled in my main account, did it out of my guild, and will join it again once I reach lvl80

Don't tell anyone ingame, serious you never know who will snitch. Then you wonder why you get magically banned, the only people that i know i bot is my Real life friend who bots with me and this guy is my best friend , i never tell anyone ingame never even ingame friends never telling any guildies not a soul.

If you were stealing money from a bank would you tell anyone?

my real life friends know that i'm botting. they dont care. but its not like i tell everybody that i know in wow that im a bot.. that would be plain stupid
