Just thought i would make this post hoping the annoying people who leave "do not ninja nodes" unticked.

Guys its really clear to see that your a bot if you go to ninja nodes its stupid in my opinion if you want to try fly under the radar tick it please lol

It's the way they roll. It will result in a higher reports number on your account. There is no doubt because it angers people and every ninja will have at least one person near the node.
They chose to leave it on, just let them do what they want.

yes either that or they don't know how to turn it off the option should already be ticked as default and if people choose to ninja then so be it let then turn it on.I only made this post as i just witnessed about 5 people land on me while i was collecting a node lol

Should really be set as default to "Don't ninja" but there will always be some people who don't care.

Well, if people cared, they would look into the settings at least once and find this function. If they just leave it on they don't care, and if they don't find it they don't care that much either. If they did, they would of looked for such things.

Every time I've installed HB it's been off by default and that's the way I leave it. It's either some few ppl here that are truly stupid or (most likely) an inferior bot product that either can't or doesn't check or has it ninja by default... In either case, I wsp to them and every now and then I get a 'whooops... sorry for that'... meaning that they probably had a chat monitor up... lol

In either case, since I am testing out personally created profiles, the most I've ever seen one toon hit the same nodes as me is 2 nodes in a row... then we go our seperate ways...

But could that option come set to "do not ninja nodes" as default for people who don't realise its on ninja when i first started using HB i didn't know till after a few whispers.

When you start hb on a totally new character it is defaultly set to "NOT NINJA".
It is named "Ninja Nodes", which obviously means check it if you want to wave to the neighbors while standing naked in the window holding a sign that says, "Go Ahead... Call the Cops (blizzard)!"

Honestly, why is there the option at all? Why would we (the HB community) want to allow people to use this product to get themselves banned when it is so easy to just remove the option period - and call it function by design. At least that way we'd know for sure that it wasn't ppl using HB to ninja the mines/herbs.

Have to agree with this.

I've witnessed a train of 6 players, all with ninjaing set.. all landing on the same node and trying to loot it, then all taking off and flying as a train to the next node and repeat over and over

Ninjaing nodes can actually decrease your chance of getting anything, if you try and loot a node that is already being looted it wont suceed and if your on the same path you will just end up stuck behind them. Turning off ninjaing nodes means it will go to the next node on and not get held up or stuck in a train of bots that really REALLY sticks out, i followed said train and you could see each one hitting the same mid air waypoint, each one taking the exact same hard turn and flying off in the exact same direction with pixel perfect precision

If you want to get banned, turning on ninjaing nodes is the way to make sure people know your a bot

As for the devs, i think they should leave the option in place. If people want to be douchebags they might as well let them hang themselves

It's quite obvious. When I saw an option "to not ninja nodes" I had no doubt to use it. If i babysit my bot and see some player killed me while my bot was gathering stuff, i logg out for 10-15 mins just to chill out and don't force any reports to my side :P

I've had it unticked before, honestly, I don't care, I got tired of everyone else stealing my nodes.

Well i kight inform you as well that there isn?t just HB that farms, HB has it set to default to not Ninja nodes, while for example L*Cencored*t has it turned off by default, and you have to klick not to ninja.

Some other bots don?t even have an option to turn it off, for example one from France :D i some times i can even tell what bot it is by looking at it moves :D

The first one is a free bot so many noobs use it.

This has been covered / discussed dozens of times as I, like many, have witnessed the "conga line" when farming nodes. As was pointed out to me, you can not tell others how to play or use the bot. All we could hope for is that people would be smart enough to use it properly.

I won't turn mine on... don't want to and as Zeewolf pointed out above, if you are following behind someone with a decent connection, attempting to ninja their nodes will likely reduce your nodes per hour count if you're on the same route. If they land before you -even slightly- and have a decent connection, they will start and therefore finish mining/herbing before you and will get the ore/herb. If you attempt to ninja it, your toon will go through the motion and will fail as soon as the other toon succeeds. At which point, both of you mount and fly off in the same direction. All things being equal, you and him will get to the next node at very close to the same time... and try to out ninja each other for each and every node. Of course, if you have it set to off, as soon as your toon realizes that there is someone near that node, you will 'wave off' and move onto the next one, easily beating the other toon to it. Of course, if the two of you are literally on the same pattern, the two of you (and any others) will simply leapfrog over each other and get every other one available...

If you're not on the same pattern then this whole discussion is moot. I've seen others pop in and out of my route, generally only staying with me at most 2 nodes cause I'm using custom routes. (I'm going to publish some of them once they are well tested). If someone attempts to ninja one of mine, they generally fail cause my toon reacts pretty quickly... but even if they do, I may message them just to let them know there is someone watching (and see if they are... I had one message back saying 'whoops, sorry - was about to hearth back anyway'... and then he was gone... lol)

If it was up to me, the option would be removed from HB - we don't need to lower ourselves to the standards of others, especially when all it does is make us MUCH more likely to be reported and therefore banned.

Let's just end this with, It's an option. If you want to use it go ahead. If not, then it is again your choice.
If you really want it removed make a poll about it. If the devs see enough of the users want it removed they may just consider it.

there is no reason to remove the option
if you dont like it dont use it

that simple :)
