Disable location services on phone?

As I watch Pokefarmer work in a distant location, I noticed that I wanted to make a couple of adjustments to Pokemon Go itself. If I disable location services on my phone, I can still transfer items, throw potions/revives/etc in the trash, but Pokemon Go doesn't know where I am.

I realize Pokefarmer can also do that, but my question/theory is that it should be safe to stop the bot, disable location services on my phone, login on my phone, do whatever, close the Pokemon Go app, enable location services, then start the bot again, right? I wouldn't think that would flag me.

That´s right, but we currently don't know which functions are flagging accounts IF there are functions which are flagging accounts.
