DH Goldfind tips, good enough?

I got 299% GF with follower+ ferret. I have 14.4k hp and 35.5k damage with sharpshooter on using crossbow. Pickup radius: 21 movespeed 12%+ passive= 25%.

I can't seem to get more pickup radius unless I am willing to drop 7 or 10% GF a item, and im not sure if 7 yards is worth losing 7 or 10% GF over. Because I can't seem to get items of the same GF with radius because they aren't there or too expensive.


I use Hot pursuit and evase fire for most. Smokescreen for champs, Rain of vengeace for larger scorps groups.

I can do arreat runs on hell very well if I play by hand I hardly ever die, only if I play bad and dont kite some nasty champs well which usually die in 5 shots or something. I prefer hell because it gives more gold drops on the spot and a chance of actually something usefull/valuable.


I don't have the bot yet, but im preparing my charachter for it. Is it fine or does it need some tweaks?

Does everyone here bot on nightmare?

Your character is well geared for farming gold. We do it on nightmare because the difference in time spent clearing is not worth it compared to the gain in gold.

It's fine, and I bot on nightmare. Some people bot on Inferno too.

I have pretty much the same stats, and have been running this for a long time. Here's my input:

- Don't drop 10% gf for more pickup range. 20-25 yards is far sufficient with your runspeed.
- You have 21% base runespeed. Lose Hot pursuit, the bonus is inefficient at that point. I prefer Vengeance for the increased hatred.
- Lose sharpshooter as well, since you're going to pretty much one shot everything in NM anyways
- Lose Smokescreen for more aoe abilities
- Run Arreat on NM if gold is what interests you. The difference in drops is minimal, and you will clear it MUCH faster, resulting in higher gold/hour
- Hell act 3 gear is worthless, and will be vendor trash. Not worth it.

Oh really im not sure if you're dps is high enough you might make more gold Hell. Question is what is enough dps ^^ Would have to test that.

Would you say dropping 7-10% GF for 6-7 Yards is worth it?

Depends on your actual GF and pickup radius... If you have 250+ GF but only 5-6 yards radius, then yes, definitely... If you have 200 GF and 20 radius, then absolutely not.

Runspeed also factors in. Can't really help you without your stats.


And no, Hell is def not worth it unless you can clear it as same speed as NM (extremely fast). Only people geared in the best loot possible will do that, and personally, I wouldn't waste that kind of gear (20-30 mil worth) on a bot account that could be banned any day.

You guys think it's worth it to buy some gear for my 52lvl Monk to test the bot overnight with trial? I have calculated that i will need about 120k gold to get GF= 160-170 and Radius = about 40. I paid no mind in other stats because it's temp gear and i think she will be able to handle stuff in Nightmare with her 2 650 dps fists.

What do you think the GPH will be like if everything goes OK? More than 100k/h? Looting off, let the radius pickup the gold.

Honestly, I always frown upon gold farming before lvl60. If I were you, I'd buy that trial, and bot my way to 60 overnight and try to GF tomorrow morning.

You'll find a lot more gf gear, cheaper, and better.

I don't know if it will be cheaper. I think i will need something like 500k for 250GF, 40 radius. Maybe more.

I see. By the way my 21 movespeed was a typo I ment 12 % movespeed that's why I use hatred movespeed.

I wonder if you could make the bot use tumble + tumble 60% movespeed and still path correctly + use preparation that.. would be imba =D

Well hell drops better gear some high rolled amulet/rings or even some armor pieces could be still nice, aswell as legendary/set.

+ the gems that drop there are better.
