@Devs/Nesox: Fix your bot

There are a couple of problems with DB right now that only the Devs can adress.

As we all know by now, Blizzard nerfed Unique mobs.

Unique monsters now drop less items.
*Uniques were dropping far more loot than their difficulty would warrant.

This means farming boss mobs outside of rifts isn't worth it anymore unless you're willing to settle for 1 legendary/3h or whatever the rate is now.

That brings us to Rifts. They increased the droprate of legendaries in rift to 100%.

The bonus legendary drop rate for rifts is being increased from 25% to 100%!
*This means that while in a rift your chance to find a legendary item from monsters, chests, elites, and everything else is double what it is outside of rifts.

And Rifts bring us to you, the DB devs. Currently the 380 doesn't work well with bounties and rifts at all. It actually got worse. On 372, the act 4 profile of http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...dventure-mode-bounties-community-edition.html was AFKable and had very few errors. Now we can't even complete 2 runs. The devs of that bounty profile says the problem lies with DB and i believe them because things worked reasonably well on 372. Those devs have also been asking for a better bounty and rift API.

So my message to the DB devs is this, you had a chance to study rifts and bounties in the RoS beta. That beta lasted 4 months.. We're now 3 weeks into RoS and we still have no concrete info on your progress, let alone a working bot in bounties and rifts.

My suggestion is that you work together with the devs from the bounty and rift profile. Exchange information with them and post updates in the DB beta thread. Show us you're working on it, because now it feels like you're not.

Sure we paid for, or some of us are paying for, the bot. However, these devs have lives too. Most likely all or some also have other jobs in order to make ends meet. With that said give them some time to get the API working properly. I'm actually surprised at their turn around time so far being a C# Software Engineer myself I'm impressed so far with their timings.

As a generel user, it always seems like its 2 steps forward, 2 steps backwards, constantly something breaking when trying to fix something. Only dev getting any inside info seems to be rrix and the rest is left hoping for updates.

Is Nesox working on better implementation of rifts and bounties? No fucking idea cause he arent spending the 3 minutes an update sticky post would take. Been driving me bat shit insane for the last couple of years but i guess you get use to just hoping for the best while shit breaks.

You realize if Nesox posted a thread saying "I'm working on rifts and bounties" then it would just lead to a million more questions "When will it be done?" "Will it include this?" "Been waiting for weeks for this and nothing!!@!@". Why can't you just accept that Nesox is working on it, and it will be done when it's done? Even Nesox can't predict when it'll be done.

Another thing: We paid for the Demonbuddy bot as it was when we bought it. We didn't buy it under the conditions that "All new Diablo 3 game modes/features will be added to the bot within days/weeks of release". They literally have no legal obligation to include new features, but they do it anyway to stay competitive and make us happy.

Seriously, be thankful for what you have and what you paid for, and appreciate all the extra work of the devs and community devs. If you think you can make something better, go ahead. If you think somewhere else is better for botting, leave.

Its such a lame argument. No i cant make anything better, i pay for that. And im not setting any timelimit on new features (or basic ones working) but i do ask to be kept in the loop. And no, i dont think an update post would make people make more posts asking stupid shit, i believe it would sooth it out a bit.

I honestly dont think much of Nesox, i believe this bot is, when working, a very good piece of work. But its mostly due to unpaid voluntary people who make great profiles and workarounds. Just look at the bounties project for how a community can work together. But do a DB dev pop in there and give some sort of acknowledgement of it or help out, nope. But we do get an update today to DB that totally makes it unusable.

Rifts semi work, the issue around them is the unique/random id's they create and seem to use.

Pretty sure it isnt bot related aswell and more a plugin/profile

As things stand db devs got two choices at this moment:

a) Spend as much time as they can spare on this bot

b) Spend as much time as they can replying to "super duper important" threads such as this

You do realize you are nor their boss nor someone they need to answer to right ? As things stand bot is working fine at this moment so if they are as ignorant as you are with these "push a horse" threads they can just say you already got working area profiles for the bot. Do know that these threads make absolutely no difference whatsoever as to when will these new features be available...

From what i heard the devs didnt actually have access to the beta sooooo... Also many things changed from beta to live. Its true they could have used the ptr to test things but almost every new feature was unavailable on the ptr

I honestly dont know why your complaining so much. It's like asking for a raid bot in WoW after the expansion just came out or even the Questing behaviors take awhile. Its completely ridiculous for what your asking for, its also hasnt even been 3 weeks since RoS launched. Its barely been 2 weeks.

If you think coding is so easy, than why dont you become a dev and show us how its really done.

I think the problem is that Diablo 3 is not as big of a market as WoW and the devs don't really play the game.

Diablo 3 at release was a disaster and now that RMAH is gone and trading is impossible, there are fewer customers.

This is obviously a full time job for them so saying that they have lives is a poor argument.

One example is the fact that Skill/Elemental damage affixes were public (not public test realm not closed beta) for about a month before it was finally implemented. This was not something that was very difficult to reverse engineer given it was just a new affix number.

When I quit Diablo 3 in 2012 right after Sarkoth was nerfed, there were already requests for arcane beam rotation, and now nearly 2 years later, there still isn't support for it. When I started botting COTA, I watched my bot freeze up regularly. Avoidance barely improved since I quit.

Maybe now that the easy to bot stuff is 10x less efficient, hopefully we will see some real progress now.

1 : start diablo up
2 : start db
3 : load profile
4 : press start
5 : go outside, sit on a field with a good book, enjoy the sunshine and all that good vitamin d and....... GET FREE LEGENDARIES
Honestly I don't see the issue, things get done when they get done! if the devs don't go outside or eat cake they would die and if they die there will be no more bot updates! And let's face it cake created in c# isn't very filling.

No, what i'm asking for isn't "completely ridiculous" because the devs said they would support Reaper of Souls. Rifts and bounties are its two biggest features. Hell, blizzard said one should just buy RoS for those two things.

ts also hasnt even been 3 weeks since RoS launched. Its barely been 2 weeks.

I don't know where you're from, but in my country, a week has 7 days of which 5 are working days. RoS was launched 25th march, that was 17 (more than 15) days ago. Not that any of this matters. I'm simply asking for them to keep us updated on their progress. I'm fairly confident they can A) work on the bot and B) write a few words in a thread every couple of days. We don't have to chose between the two like some other guy in this thread said.

If you think coding is so easy, than why dont you become a dev and show us how its really done.

Here's the biggest issue I have with all of this back and forth: Other bots are ALREADY WORKING. Specifically, for both rifts and bounties; Have been, in fact, for quite some time now. So, yes, it's frustrating as hell when the one that I / we choose to pay for is just sort of... coasting along, bumping into walls occasionally, and remaining only partially-functional.

Good news everyone! You read this in Prof. Farnsworth's voice.

On a side note, many bugs (should) be fixed in the next version of DB. Talking with Nesox now and bringing all the important ones to his attention.

I have an awesome idea, how about all the ppl that complain get put into a separate section and given all the information currently available to the devs and then blocked from using any db features until they themselves come up with working profiles/plugins for the things they are complaining about because clearly its an easy task
