Determining stash tab

How does Trinity determine which stash to put items in? I notice it sometimes puts things in stash tab 1, others in 3. I tried looking around a little to see what the distinction was, but I couldn't find anything.

This is not handled by Trinity, it's handled by the Demonbuddy stashing routine.

Demonbuddy has some logic to put "Misc" items onto the last tab, and all other items (Armor/Weapons) on the first (two) tabs.

Oh. Well. Now I feel dumb. :)

Thanks for the clarification. I was confused as to what it was doing exactly and if there were a meaningful purpose, like maybe things that sold for more in one tab vs another, etc.
