Demonbuddy user crying about his ban on battle net forums look lol

He's not crying, he has a valid point (Personal progression is the reason I bot too) that I'm certain a fair amount of this community and other botting community's share.

Oh yeah and with 200 million he managed to get

304%/15K DPS

Same reason why I'm botting.

I think I'm gonna start to sell gold though.
Only running a few hours per day, to prevent a ban as much as possible.
When I've scratched up the $60 I spent on the game, I'll get some better gear for my bot character and then go 24/7 for pure RMAH profit.

I think he failed to mention what he spend the 200M on - obviously it can't be the crappy stats he linked, musta been on real gear aswell, for progression :-)

Good read, it was why I started botting aswell - then figured after clearing the game, and farming pony land for ages, that it was still crap, and went 24/7.

I have no attachment to my account, once I have recovered the key cost I'll just run 24/7

I'm actually the guy who wrote that post on Battle.net.

I had several sets of gear at the end, two of my four stash tabs were filled with rare and legendary equipment and a few set items that I liked. The 304% GF/15K DPS gear I had at the time of banning was some socketed stuff I was messing around with, the stats weren't that hot and I was going to dump it today anyways after I realized how absurd building Radiant Stars could be. My normal gear was around 290% Magic Find, 300% Gold Find, and 19K DPS (w/o SS)- though none of it was socketed save for the helm. A good portion of the cash was spent re-tooling everything every week to min/max certain stats since I loved to experiment, even though I usually landed up back on Sarkoth after getting my ass handed to me in Inferno.

Wish I had screenshots of the builds for those interested, but alas I no longer have access to the account and I couldn't even tell you what the names were of the stuff I was wearing (just that a lot of it cost me 10M/20M/30M chunks of gold to obtain).

PS: I'm not crying. Crying would be analogous to "wtf blizzard you stupid fucking cunts why u ban me i no hacker u wrong bros unban me or i sue111". I just thought I'd toss up a nice calm post on Battle.net explaining why I was botting (not complaining about being banned) to see if I'd get a response, and I did. $60 isn't a big deal, it amazes me how many people think that it's the end of the world if you lose that much cash. It also amazes me that so many people assume that being banned means you're irreparably filled with rage and anger, and that someone couldn't simply shrug their shoulders and move on.

look im not going to tell you the $60 isn't a big deal, what is a big deal is that you, and everyone else who does this kind of thing brings negative attention to the bot, and to our community as a whole. not only that but it takes blizzard time and money to pay people to deal with angry botters who got banned even though they knew about the risks before hand. that is one of the entire reasons why we are getting sued, because people cant accept that the account is gone and want to blame blizzard for it ether by lashing out or sending dozens of e-mails or calls. hell i know there are people who haven't been banned who sent messages to GM's and tickets because they felt guilty about using a bot, all that stuff attracts major attention to us, attention we dont need.

I see.

Sorry to post here and on Battle.net then. I won't bother you guys anymore.

ok, so i read the posts from the blizz forum and +1 to you for not just QQ'ing and actually getting people on your side and help people understand why most people do it.

This was a great read.
As one user there posted, Don't blame the messenger...Blame the message. Something along those lines.

Man codenameG you are making me feeling bad about my ban appeals ;)

And I think btw, that MF is actually too broken. Once you have enough MF the game is way too rewarding and people quickly feel "unable to complete inferno" when it can be done with gear sub 10 mil and in a couple of hours. I can see the reason why casuals bot, purchase and stuff dont get me wrong but they mostly hit the wall because the statsystem is too complicated for them to nail down.

All those guaranteed rares and stuff are a realy nice gesture of blizz, but people expect too much in too little time there is no helping it.

+1 tho

My god..all that over one bot. What's he going to do if he loses his virginity? Somebody get this guy a maxi-pad.

Great writing, mootz. I share your feelings about this game. I bought the bot just to get some gold to improve my gear (never sold anything for euros). I was stuck and didn?t have enough time to farm. But i won?t buy new license. I?m fed up with this crappy game.

I thought the post was a good thoughtful one. Mootz really hits at the heart of the issue. There was nothing negative about the post at all. Insight followed by great writing.

Thanks!
