Having first tested out Demon buddy with several 3 day trial keys, I decided to purchase the monthly trial... My satisfaction with the 3 day keys was topnotch, the bot ran well, and I had virtually no issues.
After purchasing the monthly key I noticed however a very stark decline in service. At first, I thought it was just me, but as I started to trawl through the forum posts in the support section I realized it was a trend. Many people were experiencing the same issues I experienced:
Scenario A
--------------------
The bot will run perfectly fine for an undetermined/variable amount of time. However, at some point it appears the bot "logs out" and requires you to submit your authentication code once again. This has happened to me anywhere between within 2 minutes of starting the bot to several hours. It can be frustrating because the bot will simply stop, and your character will not continue. After looking on the forums I noticed that several other people are experiencing this as well - what they're met with is moderators suggesting they post their log file --> eventually devolving into suggestions to re-install several files/the bot itself or to use the latest release versus the beta.
I won't pretend to know exactly how the bot functions when it connects to the authentication servers, but it seems to me there is a fundamental issue with the "keep-alive" checks between the bot and the authentication servers (Presumably there's a ticker checking the validity of the key in session every x amount of milliseconds.) whereby the server kicks your session off and reads your key as invalid despite it being.. perfectly valid. The kicker is, if you attempt to login using your key once again you will find that your key may still be in session, which, if you only purchased a 1 session key means you have to wait several minutes before attempting to start up the bot once again.
Scenario B
-------------------
The bot will randomly crash, sometimes bringing diablo 3 down with it. The Demonbuddy program will state that it has run into a problem and whether you'd like to debug it or close it. You're better off closing once it stops responding and attempt to boot it up back up once again. This happens after an indeterminate amount of time, and appears to be happening to a great deal of people.
Now, The bot, when it works, works amazingly. The developers truly outdid themselves and it executes what its intended to do flawlessly.. that is.. when it doesn't crash, or abruptly stop.
In its current state, with the constant crashing and the unexpected hang-ups, I do not recommend purchasing Demonbuddybot. I enjoyed it for the days that it did work, and if you're lucky maybe you won't run into these issues, but I am seeing more and more posts met with copy and paste customer service responses in the support forum regarding these crashes and I find it hard to believe that all these users did something wrong on their end to have the same exact issues arise around the same time period.
Hopefully, if the bot is fixed I will review it again, for now all we can do is deal with the crashing until our key expires.
Thank you all, good luck!
